NC800 vs Vert 350HD
We have this juicer and also theĀ Omega VRT350 Heavy Duty Dual-Stage Vertical Single Auger Low Speed Juicer Silver , and we easily love the NC800 much, much more. We know that using a slow, masticating, single-auger juicer provides a higher quality juice vs say a high-speed centrifugal juicer, and both the NC800 and Vert 350HD meet that requirement.Cleaning:Both juicers are easy to clean, but the NC800 is easier and requires less scrubbing of the filter screen. Both come with the same cleaning brush needed for the screen. There are also more intricate parts/gears on the Vert 350HD, so it's not super hard to clean, but the parts on the NC800 are larger, less intricate, and easier to clean with a kitchen scrubber. The small ejection port on the Vert 350HD and the sprocket gears are especially annoying to clean, and this doesn't exist on the NC800.Juice Quality:Both juicers provide a wonderful juice and both do extremely well at getting every last bit of juice out of what you put in, but the Omega Vert 350HD provides more juice because it also lets in more pulp. If you want a pulpy juice, you want the Omega Vert, but if you want a less pulpy juice, then the NC800 is what you want.Feed Chute:Both juicers are somewhat capable of self-feeding, but the Omega Vert is slightly better at it since the feed chute is larger. The Vert 350HD has a larger feed tube so you may need to do more cutting of your food and using the pusher if you're using the NC800. Still, if you stick a huge carrot in either one, it's going to jam it and you're going to have to take it out and make it smaller. Both juicers will jam on about the same size of food, so even though the feed chute is larger on the Vert 350HD, I'm not sure that it really matters all that much; I find I cut the food into the same size regardless of which juicer I am using simply so it won't jam. If you are committed to having a horizontal juicer, then the NC800 has the largest feed chute of the horizontal juicers that Omega makes.Ejection Port:The ejection port on the Vert 350HD is very small and as a result, gets clogged VERY easily. It's not uncommon to stop juicing and get the included tool to pry out pulp from the port. The ejection port on the NC800 has never clogged, and if it ever does, which I think is unlikely based on how large it is, it could be cleared in a matter of seconds.Juice adjustment:The NC800 has an adjustable end cap/ejection port which means you can adjust the juicer based on the hardness of the food to maximize yield. This setting does not exist on the Vert 350HD. It is especially useful for leafy greens and means they stay in the juicer longer enabling you to get more yield out of the item. It does take some time to learn how to adjust the end cap with regards to each food, but it's not hard to learn.Foaming:We see more foaming with the Vert 350HD than with the NC800, and we know that when more oxygen is mixed with the juice, there is more oxidation, which is not desired. The Vert 350HD produces considerable foaming with greens, and unless you are also juicing something else like a carrot, the greens will spin and spin inside the auger causing more and more foam. This is a huge problem if you want to juice a lot of greens. The NC800 also produces foam, but it is much less, especially when juicing leafy greens.Versatility:The NC800 ships with an added piece called a blank plate. This blank plate allows you to create things like nut butters, baby food, soy milk, almond milk, frozen banana puree, healthy ice cream, and a variety of other healthy snacks. None of this can be done in the Vert 350HD.Space:The NC800 takes up more counter space, however, we have found it much easier to store and use since it is not as tall. Because the NC800 is shorter, it fits easily on the counter underneath kitchen cabinets, and can be used without having to move it. The Vert 350 fits underneath the kitchen cabinets, but you can't use it unless you move it out from underneath the cabinets.Quality:The NC800 comes with a 15 year warranty while the Vert 350HD comes with a 10-year warranty. We feel that the quality of both juicers to be very high. We have no complaints here at all. Conclusion:We much prefer the NC800 over the Vert 350HD since it has greater flexibility of use, is easier to clean, produces much less pulp, and creates much less foam with leafy greens. If you want to make pulpy fruit juices, you can't go wrong with the Vert 350HD. If you want to juice a wider range of fruits and leafy greens, create nut butter and other healthy snacks, then you really can't compare, the NC800 is the juicer for you.If you have any questions about the juicer, just ask in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them promptly.

Excellent for greens and veggies!
This juicer is awesome. The pulp it produces is very dry and there's very little froth in the juice. The juicing mechanism is slow and steady, make sure you have enough time to get the max out of your produce, but the juice it produces is superb and tastes yum! The veggies and fruits are not heated and not cut in high speed, so minimum loss of nutrients during the juicing process. Most of all, it is quite, easy to set-up and clean. These are important facts when you plan to juice on a daily basis.I researched a lot (I'm a researcher by training) before purchasing a juicer because I wanted to get it right the first time around. These babies are expensive...who'd want to spend so much and let it sit on the counter after a couple of uses? In the end, it was all worth it and I'm happy I went with this. I'm thrilled with this juicer!Stuff I've juiced:Excellent: Leafy greens, hard veggies (like carrots, beets), hard fruits like (like apples, firm grapes)Good: Nuts (like almonds, peanuts, brazil nuts), Soft fruits (like papaya, banana)*I have to mention though that I tried juicing raw cane sugar (cut into small pieces), and the juicer just gave up. Have you tried cane sugar juice...it's the best! Anyway, I'm sort of disappointed that the juicer couldn't handle cane sugar, but I understand this probably isn't the machine for it. I blended my sugar root pieces and sieved through a strainer manually.

Mostly good.
So far it's the best juicer for home use, especially cleaning it (right after) juicing. I wouldn't say it juices ALL and EVERY thing as good as it should as an only one juicer for all in all, over and all this is doing a great job squeezing all the juices leaving pulp as dry as possible. For some particular fruit this juicer though causes frustration. Apples and Papaya for instance is an issue withthe heavy thick juice. Well, I put a sifter (which they dont include) right above the dish I am using to collect the juice. That sifter is a 6 inch sifter, pretty big holes. Therefore I am using a Pyrex 4 cup glass so that sifter fits. The problem is that when juicing apples and papaya the sifter doesnt let the juice through because the juicer is giving me juice that is too 'thick' when papaya and apple. First of all, they should provide a sifter. They should provide more space for a bigger collecting dish than what they include with this juicer.

Versatile juicer
I love my juicer. Absolutely no regrets. Yields plenty of juice and leaves the pulp pretty dry. I have used it to make nut butters and pasta as well. Unfortunately, one of the heads for pasta came apart as the dough was pushing through so I can't make linguini anymore. It worked just fine with all the other heads... Hmm, I should write them about this. Anyway, I did some pretty extensive research before my purchase and finally decided on this model since it was within my price range and a very versatile juicer. It's a slight upgrade from the model that has been a best seller for ages on amazon but for very little price difference (at least when I purchased it almost a year ago). Do your research before purchasing a juicer but if you just want to go with a reliable and versatile model, this one is great. It's slow, yes, but It is to be expected since it's an auger COLD PRESS juicer. You want it to be slow. These things are practically unbreakable. It's BPA free. It's a little heavy but I like to believe that's a quality trait, besides I rarely move it. It's easy to clean, it's dishwasher safe. I wish it had come with a sieve and the pusher should be a tiny bit longer. Other than that, 0 complaints, have used it regularly for a year. Juices everything I've put in it (soft and hard fruits, nuts, leafy veggies, roots like ginger and turmeric).

One word-Amazing!
I have been using this a few days and I LOVE IT!. At first, I didn't want to order it because of the price, but I am so happy I did. I love the red colour and I think the colour will be better in regards to staining in the long run.It was delivered fairly quickly. It was doubled boxed so no damage. As I started to pull out the pieces I was happy to see that it was actually pretty much put together for me to use (auger etc). I was able to see how the pieces fit together much easier and it is so easy to take apart and put together. The juicer itself is solid and the pieces aren't flimsy. There is a bit of noise from the auger when juicing but I knew that before I bought it, BUT the noise is not too much. The first thing I found out about when I actually juiced my organic veggies was that I really didn't have a lot of cutting to do- YEAH!. I also found out that I did not need nearly as many veggies as I have used with my old juicer. My juice is that the juice yield is so much higher so no need for so many veggies. The pulp was so dry- amazing!.I watched several youtube videos before I bought this item so I had learned that it is a good idea to alternate the veggies so nothing gets caught up in the machine, and even though I did do that I don't think I really had to because it was all coming out fine and there was very little left in the auger section when I was done. The clean up was so fricken easy. Took me about 2 minutes to take the pieces apart and clean them. The machine comes with a little brush that makes cleaning the juicing screen very easy.SO, from start to finish the time to create my healthy juice first thing in the morning was about 7 mins and that included the washing the veggies and the little prep I did do, the juicing itself and clean up.What I have been juicing: Black kale, fresh spinach, a LITTLE pineapple for a bit of sweetness, celery and broccoli.I add organic coconut to the juice so it's not such a strong taste. the ratio I have been using in a large glass is about 1/2 coconut water to half the juice. I have a second glass with the leftover juice. If you are looking to buy a juicer, review several videos on youtube or research what your needs will be and invest in this one if you are going to focus on leafy greens etc because it is awesome! This is by far the BEST investment I have ever made.

This juicer is amazing. It has been almost two months since I bought this machine and thought it is time for the review. No different from NC800 except for the red colour (wifey liked red!) After going through a rotten Salton, a Breville (very wet pulp and didn't do greens well) and an Omega J8005 (very narrow feeding tube and white augur that turned orange in two days!) I decided to splurge and get the NC800 and it is an amazing machine. I juice three/four times a day with vegetables and fruits and it does a great job on all. I have over time learned some tricks like mixing up the feeding between soft fruit and firmer vegetables to ensure the liquid doesn't back up. Unlike the other machines, very little prep time, I feed carrots, celery whole with no jamming at all. The clean up time is really fast and easy and is probably 5-7 minutes. I would recommend this to anyone serious about juicing!

Incredible juicer
For the price, I have to say this is the best bang for the buck! It's pretty quiet and absolutely demolishes vegetables that are fine, stringy and appear to be rock solid! I have used veggies from celery, beets, carrots, ginger, apples (I have had it for 4 days only) and cannot believe the juice it pulls from the vegetables, leaving just what seems like 'paper pulp' behind. It's super easy to clean, washes easily. I'd recommend this to anyone who is serious about juicing.

... so I strained it to get it to taste better, I juiced mostly leafy greens
I own the Salton Vitapro vertical juicer and it served the purpose for awhile with lots of pulp so I strained it to get it to taste better, I juiced mostly leafy greens. A couple of times I tried apples and oranges and left the pulp in the juice and taste pretty good. Now I got the NC800HRD! and it performed like a brand new vehicle, I juiced the same greens in it as I did the Salton and I put in beets, lemon, ginger, carrots and anything I could find in the fridge, this thing had very little to no pulp and I didn't need to strain it, i'm sure i'll have to strain the juice sometimes. I can't add anything new to this wonderful juicer, most people have good things to say about it. Clean up is a snap. Sure it's a slow juicer but that's what makes the juice taste great. Life is fast so once and awhile slow down and enjoy a good meal. I drink some of it while i'm cleaning the NC and store it to take to work the next day and a glass full for breakfast. I'm 55 years old and i'll update this when i'm a 100 :) Thank you Omega for a chance to gain a new and healthy life.

Damaged Juice container
Product looks functional, I quickly assembled and checked if motor runs okay or any part has any issue. Cleaned the parts to use them and found that juicer box has some cracks. Product looks good but I gave only 2 start due to damaged container. If I get replacement without problem, I will revisit my review.
