Varathane 1 qt Rust-Oleum Brands 211715H Spring Oak Varathane Oil-Based Interior Wood Stain

A great product, as I've found all Varathane products to be. Easy to use, lasts almost forever, and so reasonable in cost.

Used on front door mahogany wood. Color is just right for wood stain without a shiny look. Seems to resist water good and we added begone bug treatment

Wish I had known what I know now via youtube. Guys are using old motor oil mixed with diesel to stain the wood on their utility trailers and it looks better and is significantly cheaper than buying these tiny little cans of stain. One can barely did my 5x8 trailer. I can't imagine how much of this you'd have to buy for any significant project. Also color wasn't as red as I'd have liked, but that's probably because my wood was already fairly dark to begin with. Would likely look great on a lighter wood.

I love the look of Varathane and protection this product offers and gives and makes my work pop after it is coated!

I use this product a lot and it is an excellent durable finish. Just did a new kitchen butcher block table and it turned out beautiful.

I use this color and dark walnut (same brand) to stain my oak barrel stave projects. Golden oak provides a rich color. It spreads evenly and dries reasonable fast. I have no complaints about the stain or the brand. I will continue to buy this stain and strongly recommend it.

The media could not be loaded.  As far as this matching up to my nightstand and bedroom set this headed out of the park for me! My problem because I am a novice. Seeking advice here. My issue is the particle board that is a middle (yes, probably shouldn't of stained it or rigorously sanded, again , a complete novice) is there any way possible to repair the partical board? Thank you in advance for any help or advice, like I said , complete novice!Update:I added a few more coats to the side top and used retique it for the middle 3 coats because it has wood in it then stained the top of it with the same spring oak stain. I used varathane semi gloss to seal. I just love how or came out! Very pleased!

Have used their products on many wood working projects and they are excellent, went through three cans and the colour is consistent. Excellent products.

The product is excellent, but the can in which it came was so battered and dented as if it had rolled down a hill slope! Somebody treated it very badly during transportation. This did not change the quality of the product inside, so I am quite happy with the purchase.
