A no frills (lacks a timer) steamer with three baskets, which stack when not in use to save space. Called a compact but I would expect to be able to cook veg for at least four people if I wanted to. Operation couldn't be easier, add water to the reservoir, quick assembly of the basket(s), support and lid, and off you go. The control you do get (which I haven't tried yet) is that you can adjust the amount of water added so that it runs out (and the machine buzzes to let you know it's ready) when the food is cooked. Everything is easy to clean and seems reasonably sturdy so far. As ever, you have to "learn by doing" with these kitchen gadgets, timings are longer than with my old stove-top saucepan and steamer, just over seven minutes to cook a steamed (poached) egg seems like forever, but at least it's not likely to overcook stuff.

For a damn steamer, this is so hard to use. Specifically, to actually start it steaming. Get the other one that has a manual timer. I eventually gave up, passed the return period, I shouldn't have been lazy! It is sitting here unused.

No instructions to tell you how long to steam food so very disappointed. Having to guess so could be steaming for to long

I loved this steamer, very efficient and steams in less time. Thus far I've only used it for potatoes but they come out so fluffy and cooked all the way through. It's easy to clean and all the plastic compnents are bpa free.

Ignore the name of the manufacturer. This little steamer handles far more than my previous, and considerably more expensive, one did. Feels a little flimsy at first as everything is lightweight, but don't be put off. Plug in, fill with with water, add what you need to, stack the steamers, press the on button twice and it's off - standard time of 45 minutes. Turn it off when you want or leave to it run - simple as that. I know there's far more you can do with it, and I'll explore that over time, but, for what I originally wanted it, which was to cook good food whilst retaining flavour and nutriments, this does the job just fine.

Since buying this I am eating veg every day. Not a great liked of vegetables but I like the way the vegetables are cooked with this. Very easy to use and you can cook an enormous amount of different things. Could not do without it.

Purchased this steamer in Sept 2018, to be honest haven't used it as the instruction manual is not user friendly, many spelling mistakes! My old one was a good old fashioned front clock timer which I will be going back to. I have contacted the company on this issue so they are aware, but if you have trouble with technology don't bother with this item.

this is my third steamer last two were tefal but the inner trays are fragile and some break and are not replaceable therefore resulting in two functioning units with no inner trays hopefully this is better
