Quality & value!
The ball is made well. That's not an issue but I asked all of my company to bring gloves when using this tetherball. The ball is made tuff, which is good but it's so hard that our hands swell up. I had to buy a softer tetherball. To many of the kids hands were hurting, including mine.

Good "Kid Appreciation" and exercise too!!
OH MY GOSH!!! My granddaughters love this tether ball. My own kids recount stories of the family playing tether ball and now we have the tether ball in the middle of the driveway (portable) so even the neighborhood kids come over to play. The ball comes with about a 10 foot rope that you can cut to size. Some reviewers mention that it is too hard but the solution is to just inflate it a little less (softer) and the hard problem goes away! We bought a 1 1/2" electrical conduit from Home Depot for twelve bucks and drilled a hole in the driveway to concrete the pole in. As the concrete dried we kept turning the pole so it would not adhere to the concrete. When the concrete had set we removed the pole and now can put the pole in or take it out as needed. Don't buy the "Fence poles" as your tether ball pole, they cost twice as much! Youtube has many videos of how to concrete this into an old tire. The one we had when our kids were young we just dug a hole in the dirt in the backyard and it worked fine. The only other things we needed to make this perfect were an eye bolt screwed into the top of the pole and a "snap clip" so you can remove the ball and rope from the pole when you store it. Seriously, this total of 20 bucks for ball, pole, and clips was one of the best "kid appreciation" things we have ever purchased and it is good exercise for them, too!

Longest lasting ball
Longest lasting tether ball for a convicted ball murderer.

Good ball, bad rope. Rope can be replaced.
The rope’s outer layer is already fraying after only a couple weeks. Otherwise, it’s a tetherball. The rope can be replaced. Good ball, bad rope.

I have bought a few tether balls, and this is the best that I have ever bought
You might spend a few more dollars but you are definitely getting the quality that you want. We enjoy tetherball immensely around here. So far it has not gotten sunburned and dry rotted and I’ve had it close to a year in Florida.

Fun for everyone!
This is great activity for everyone! Especially for teens you are trying to get off of their devices. The parts themselves are well made. A little time consuming to put together but not bad. We filled ours with water. The only thing I would mention is regarding the previous reviews for the tetherball itself. Reviews said that the ball lost air quickly. Ours began to lose air about the third day. I had already ordered another ball in case this one didn't work out. I haven't put air in it the ball we have up, yet. I would still recommend this. It is fun!

Rope failing, hard ball
Within 41 days of this being delivered and 4.5 weeks of having this tetherball set up outside in the pacific northwest, I'm already having issues. The major issue is that the rope that's used the hold the rope onto the ball (which is kind of important) has already frayed on both ends with the ball end being the worst side. I have no idea how much longer this product is going to last, but my guess would be a couple more weeks until the ball goes flying off and hits an unsuspecting person. This should be an easy fix by buying some better rope, but it's certainly not something that I was expecting to, nor should have to do at the duration that it's been up.The second and less important issue is that the ball itself is showing serious signs of fading which I wouldn't expect in almost 6 weeks especially in the pacific northwest in the spring. The third issue is that the ball is pretty darn hard and the kids (and myself) have a difficult time hitting it.All in all, I'd recommend a softer ball with a better rope. Yes, you can replace the rope with a better one, but this should come with the kit already and save everyone the hassle.

Good purchase.
Rope was very long and allowed it to be trimmed to length. Hardware was quality and the actual ball was well made. My kids take it to the park and we connect it to the tether ball poles.
