International Playthings ELC Sing Along Star Mic

I am baffled by this product! It worked beautifully for the first five minutes, then my daughter walked away from it for 2-3 minutes and it stopped working altogether! I fiddled with it for a while, switching it off and on and even giving it "a rest" but to no avail. Then, later that night I tried it again and it was working fine. But after a few minutes away from it, the microphone and all the lights and musical features failed to work yet again. This morning I could not get it to work at all, but when my daughter woke up, it turned on for her and worked fine.Perhaps I got a defective product, but there seems to be some sort of electrical short or something with this! OF note, this is our second toddler microphone to do this; (the first one lasted 10 days before the cord very obviously shorted out on us.)Frustrated and annoyed. My daughter LOVES the microphone, but I cannot deal with a brand new toy that works on random occasion only.

I purchased this for my daughter who loves to sing and dance. In the beginning it worked fairly well, although the cord attached to the microphone piece has to remain plugged into the base for it to work, so you can’t really move around much while you use it. After a few months the microphone shorted out and stopped working. All and all a cute toy but not as functional as it may first appear.

This is a good microphone. The only downside, is it sort of "times out" when it sits idle for a while, and you have to push one of the buttons on the base to "wake" it up. Otherwise, my daughter really likes it. It's definitely a toy, not super realistic, but good for a child!

Almost returned it because it took a while to get it to work, one of the foot buttons would not go down until I pressed really hard on it and it sounded like it broke but didnt. The sound is low so.

My son absolutely loves this mic! I feel like we've gotten more use from this than any other toy even his other favorites. My only complaint is that very quickly this mic cord got a short in it. So I may eventually have to order it again. Either way, it is a good toy and he does love it.

The first one I bought didn't work well. I had to ships it back. It cost me $9 at ups store.

I purchased this product for my grandchildren ages six years and three years.Reports from my daughter indicate that the children love the product and fight over whose turn it is to use it.

I bought this for my grandson in Atlanta just a couple of weeks ago. I was hoping in get him on video singing but ,y daughter it worked for about 10 seconds. She threw away the box so it can't be returned. I don't usually write a review but this one deserves this review. Don't wast your money on this.
