Will this ever be restocked

Well i ordered mine a month ago so idk if its currently in stock. All i can say is keep your eyes open

Is this cable and the stock index cable cross compatible? Example: I want to plug the stock "long" cable on my index into this 3rd party "short" end.

I have bought three of these cables and have done the complete opposite of what you want to do. I have plug the long end of this cable into my headset and the other end into the short 3 connector stock Valve Index cable that is currently attached to my computer. I would find it hard to believe that it wouldn't work the way you want it to want to hook it up as the connectors are compatible. Also, I don't know if you have this problem, but my cable would get twisted and kinked and fail no matter what I tried, including a pulley system, however, there is an app on Steam called TurnSignal that is free, I no longer get my cable twisted & kinked. Does it come with a mini-displayport adapter?

No. It comes with the displayport usb, but no adapter.
