Catstages Grass Patch Hunting Box Cat Toy, Faux Grass & 3 Balls, 10" x 14"

I got the Catstages Grass Patch Hunting Box as an indoor enrichment toy, and it’s been a great addition for my cat. He loves lying on the faux grass, and the jingle balls inside actually keep him entertained longer than most toys that only hold his attention for a minute or two. It also taps into his natural hunting instincts, which I really like. One thing to note is that the toy can be a bit noisy when he’s actively playing with it because of the balls. That said, I got used to it pretty quickly, and it doesn’t bother me anymore. I also want to mention durability, my cat completely tore apart a similar toy in the past, but this one feels much more stable and well-made. I occasionally sprinkle catnip or hide a few dry treats inside to refresh his interest, and it’s held up really well. Overall, it’s a simple but effective toy that doubles as a comfy lounging spot. If your cat enjoys interactive toys or textured surfaces, this is definitely worth trying.

Our cats absolutely LOVE THIS TOY! They played with it as soon as we opened it! Keeps them busy for quite awhile!! I strongly recommend getting it for indoor play! You can’t beat the price either and the quality is really good! Thank you!

My kitten really loves it! My only complaint is that the grass portion tends to come off and/or she eats at it to try and reach the balls. Would only recommend using if the play is supervised but super engaging.

My senior kitty and younger cat enjoyed trying to remove jingle balls from the box, and would randomly attack it. Great price and quality for this item.

UPDATE FROM 5 YEARS LATER: I’ve bought many of these over the years because one of my cats absolutely LOVES this toy. The one I purchased most recently in March 2021 has a different ball size than all of the previous ones. The balls are now too large to come out of the slots. Because of this, I removed 1 star from my review. I’m wondering if my cat will still like this toy even though she can never “win” by getting any of the balls. I wish they would have kept the original ball size. Yes, it was annoying finding them scattered all over the house but pulling them out is half the fun for my cat. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Both my cats loves this! One of them likes to eat the grass and chews on the box more than she likes batting the balls around. I've had to superglue the box back together because of her. My other kitten isn't too rough with it and it's held up well. This thing entertains my cats for hours.

Cat loves tiered towers and this was an immediate seal of approval. I’m not looking forward to hearing it at 1am.

Useful toy engaging

So far, so good. I am going to have to gand a way to anchor this to the floor or maybe use command strips to secure it to a piece of wood as it is really light and he has flipped it over many times. But he really enjoys it, especially when I add catnip and treats inside of the box. Worth the ten bucks.

My 5 yrs old played with it for about 15 mins & then lost interest, didn't bother with it again, I even tried to play with her , nope not interested. Gave it to a cat rescue. Hope the kitties get enjoyment from it.

This is a great puzzle toy to teach kittens to use their paws and instincts. They love digging in the holes and batting the balls. They like to use the grass as a scratching post so it will come out a bit if they pull too hard. Our old one lasted through many foster cats until one of our big boys decided the fastest way to the balls was to chew through the cardboard🤣

Ce petit jouet tout simple est une merveille. Nous en avons cependant retiré les boules à grelot (trop bruyantes à notre goût), puis nous avons mis dans la boîte de petits objets. Les chats tentent de les extraire de la boîte et adorent ça! De plus, elle est très résistante même si de petits morceau de "gazon" se font parfois arracher. On achètera ce jouet de nouveau en temps et lieu, c'est sûr et certain!

Fun for a few days, cat tear through the cardboard and loses interest after some time
