Just an FYI, I am amending my original review in which I said this was a great idea but missed the mark when it came it to execution. And full disclosure they sent me a new bottle and said the old one had a faulty lid and apparently they've worked out all the kinks because I have to say this thing is awesome!I am someone who likes to drink preworkout and protein during my workouts and lugging around multiple bottles, a phone, phone charger, and my workout sheets all over the gym, which can be really cumbersome… but the Hydra Cup has solved at least some of my problem! Another benefit I’ve found with the Hydra Cup is that the dual chambers helps me keep track of some of my protein goals during my workout since I know that I need that by the halfway mark of my workout I should’ve finished at least one of the chambers.The first bottle I tried it was almost impossible to snap down and even when it did, the lid didn’t form a complete, tight seal (or much of a seal at all really) and when I would try to shake anything in it, it would go all over the place! I’ve had this redesigned bottle for about a week and it hasn’t leaked a drop!The other fear I had was that there may be leakage from one chamber to the other but when I shake liquid in one side the other side stays completely dry! Amazing!The base is made out of some sort of indestructible plastic that I think you could probably run over with your car and not hurt. The lid is sturdy and could definitely could sustain some arm level drops before perhaps one of the snaps might eventually break. The strainers come in and out very smoothly and are very easy to clean. I have a bottle with a strainer that I loathe because the strainer apparently cements to the sides of the bottle once protein has been shaken in it... not with the Hydra Cup though!The only reservation I do have about the bottle is that the plastic for the hinges and opening covers seems a little less substantial, not flimsy per se, but perhaps if it were dropped from a significant height onto a hard surface or if you opened it too aggressively it might break off. That remains to be seen though and I may just be splitting hairs, either way, for less than $15 this is a good investment and definitely better than a lot of the more expensive shaker bottles on Amazon, even if you are going to put the same liquid into each side. So in summation, good, quality materials and a good design makes this a must purchase for any gym-goer. I really think they’ve hit it out of the park on this one!

I gave this product 5 stars because for what it is it's a good product. However it didn't quite fit my needs so I don't like to use it. Let me explain why this may or may not be a great choice for you.I use both pre-workout and post-workout powders. Pre-workout powders are very thin and the scoop size is very small. For this it's fantastic. However the post-workout powders are very thick and the scoop sizes are very large. This is where my hang up is. By the time you are done dumping in all your powder there is barely any room for the water. Due to the water:powder ratio you can shake your brains out and still end up with a grainy drink that doesn't taste very good. Furthermore you will end up with a blob at the bottom that you didn't get to ingest and you have to figure out how to get down there and clean it out.If you are using this for almost anything but a post-workout powder I would highly recommend this. If you do use post-workout powders you are better off dragging around two containers.

I have had my Hydracup for a year, and it is seriously great. It's exactly what it looks like: a shaker cup that can be used for half preworkout, half protein. Obviously you can put anything you want in each side, but that's what I use it for. It's nice to not have to rinse out a shaker cup between preworkout and protein shakes, because I'm usually doing it on my way out of the gym in the drinking fountain, which is a bit of a hassle. It's also nice that the tops of the two sides are different colors, so that you don't drink out of the wrong side (it's a bit strange when you are expecting to drink grape BCAAs and then you suddenly taste chocolate muscle milk, but that is user error). The top is well built and not at all flimsy, so even if this were just a regular shaker cup it would be high quality. It's also easy to wash in the dishwasher. Essentially, try it. You'll like it.

This cup has been a great addition to my shaker cup collection. The lid has kept a good seal, the locking tabs remain strong and the the caps still have good click. It does seem to work best for pre and intra work out drinks like preworkout powder and BCAAs and such. With the 28oz model protein shakes can work but with only 14oz each side it doesn't allow for much room especially if you have large scoops or double scooping. Idk if the 30oz has the same issue and I would imagine the 36oz version is better suited for protein powders. The most critical comment I have is that it can be difficult to clean without the use of a cleaning tool. Simply using my hand and sponge does not allow my to reach all the way to the bottom. A suggestion for future product designs would be a carrier ring built in to the cup to allow for easier carrying with your finger or being able to hook it to your gym bag; a premium insulated version, and version keeping the dual shaker design but with a detachable storage bottom that empties into the cup similar the Fuelshaker cup or a reverse UMORO cup.Overall great cup for preworkouts and small scoop powders, and ok cup for protein and large scoop powders (28oz cup). Can be difficult to clean with only your hand with sponge. Great cup to be mixed in with other shaker cups; may have durability issues if only cup with heavy use. I love this cup for it's innovative design and color options and great to see Hydra Cup continuing to improve their designs with upgraded size options.
