Kobalt 1/2 Impact Wrench SGY-AIR134

Purchased as a gift so I will not be able to review.

Didnt have enough power.

I had a 15$ HF impact that wouldnt budge wheel lugs for anything I spent 10 years at the end of a breaker bar believing that my compressor was too small before taking a gamble on this kobalt impact. The kobalt had no problem removing badly rusted suspension bolts from my 23 year old iowa native astro van. It runs OK on the 10 gallon 2.5 hp peak compressors. It's at home on a true (continious) 2 hp belt drive 20 gallon and a 3/8 25' hose . And will take wheel lugs off with the 6 gallon pancake compressor on a 1/4" slinky hose (tested to see if it would). The thing to remember is that a 25' 3/8 hose with standard fittings will restrict around 15 psi of pressure at the gun so the regulator must be set accordingly. This is a store brand marketed by Lowe's and I got mine locally for 34.99$. A friend just purchased the same unit on my recommendation and changed two struts and a exhaust manifold and it didn't miss a beat. He is happy as well. He's using a 5hp peak oil less 20 gallon compressor and a similar air hose to mine.

This is a great tool. I've had one for several years now and it's still going strong. I have worked on 4 cars that are 20+ years old and this has been able to break loose 95% of the bolts free. The ones it couldn't handle required EXTREME measures to break loose. Highly recommend this. I think it is cheaper at Lowes though.
