SGS 52cc 5in1 Multi Tool Garden Set: Chainsaw Trimmer Strimmer Brush Cutter

Very good item I used the bush cutter blade and the chain saw all works great , although the chainsaw cannot really be used for cutting up logs it’s more for pruning branches , the bush cutting blade is very strong and dealt with thick brambles with ease . Haven’t had a chance to use the strimmer head or the hedge trimmer as yet but sure they will be fine . The unit itself is quite heavy but if you use the supplied harness it helps a lot . The engine is 2 stroke so it runs on unleaded mixed with 2 stroke oil a mixing bottle is also supplied together with ear defenders and safety googles although they are basic quality. There is also an extension pole supplied which will be useful for tall hedges or high branches . This unit works straight out of the box just needed to attach the handle and strimmer guard then fill with fuel and press the primer bulb a few times turn choke on pull the starter cord and it fired up straight away - let the engine idle for 5 mins to warm up then you can give it some throttle and the shaft will spin . You also have to assemble the chain saw yourself just attach the chain to the holder but use gloves.

Only negative is the chainsaw chain keeps loosening. But the item otherwise is very good, versatile & ser ed purpose for which it was bought.

Easy to assemble but instructions a bit vague . Started after priming no problem , bit heavy at engine end but manageable especially when using harness which is high quality compared with some .Powered through nasty conifers .. see b4 and after pic !! Been trying to keep on top of a row of these trees and burnt out a Ryobi 5in1 over the years !!This has more than enough power to manage the job !Very impressed with build quality especially around the pole joining mechanism and locking point !!Good price alongside similar tools on market !Looking to add a blower attachment if available .All in all happy with this bit of kit

I'm really impressed with this product. I have a range of clearing up tasks with thick grass and brambles and shrubs that need to be dealt with every season. I've had several brush cutters (usually at the cheaper end of the spectrum admitedly) and they never last more than two or max three seasons. Plus all the issues of reliability you end up with, with two stroke engines.This started first time, seems really solidly engineered, the brush cutter really effective and the hedge trimmer and mini chainsaw a real bonus. With the extension you can reach tree limbs and hedgetops 9 to 12 feet up. Also comes with a good harness and some basic protective equipment.Downsides - the middle plastic handling feels like it might not be as durable as the rest of the product but all in all i'm super happy with the quality for the price and it feels like I can get a lot done with this.

Bought this item as have a lot of greenery around my property. combination of strimmer, brush cutter, hedge trimmer, and pruning saw is particularly useful for my property.the set up instructions were not as easy to follow as I would have liked, but I got there in the end! Part of the issue was that the set up was telling me to put parts together that arrived already assembled, which is confusing when you can only see a fairly rudimentary picture!curiously no clear instructions on how to turn the thing off! (there is an off button!)All of the tools work very well, and are up to the job.the pull chord mechanism broke on second use, and customer service were incredible - my replacement arrived within 2 days, even in covid 19 environment.using strimmer with the extension pole requires serious effort!all in all a good bit of kit

Packed up after 1 years use (to the day), petrol/oil coming out of the seal on the engine. Dealt with their customer services for a week, did everything I was asked to do, in the end I suggested sending it back to get a replacement or refund, they then came back and said that if I want it looking at then I cover the cost of the postage, and told that if the problem isnt covered under warranty then I would foot all the costs! shocking customer service on something that should last for years. Basically if I send it back they will no doubt say its not covered under warranty and I end up with a huge bill on top of the cost of getting it there. Therefore decided to throw it away and purchase a different make. Stay away from SGS - not a very nice company, and a poor quality strimmer.

Very very complicated n heavy product. Its so complicated to assemble, just couldn’t do it on my own. Very heavy. Not at all for small or medium sized garden. Its for professionals or heavy big shrubs. Returning now

When the item arrived it was very well packaged, took me about 20 minutes to assemble ( I am fairly familiar with garden multi tools), lovely bit of kit, very well made and easy to use, started on third pull out of the box and absolutely blitzed the garden in a very short time. I had one minor issue with it so I contacted SGS and they could,nt have been more helpful, in no time at all they,d sent me a replacement throttle/handle assembly which took me about 10 minutes to fit and I was up and running again, great firm to deal with and would highly recommend.
