MODUS Bark Control Device - Anti Barking Device, 2-in-1 Dog Training Tool, 16.4 Ft Large Control Range, Safe to Use, Dog Silencer Dogs, Ultrasonic Pet Corrector Dog Whistle

I have used antibark collars that I have purchased off of Amazon on all of 3 of my dogs. The dogs bark through the vibration and even the shock. With three dogs the barking was too much - especially with the COVID-19 "Stay at home" in my state. I was unable to speak on conference calls due to their barking and now that I have to work from home, this is a necessity for me.. I purchased this MODUS Bark control device and it works very well on my 95 LB Dutch German Shepherd mix and my 65 Malamute/Husky mix. The third dog is a 35 pound Pug/Shih Tzu mix, he looks like a big Shih Tzu with floppy ears. The MODUS does not phase him. I am not sure if it is because he has floppy ears that muffle the sound a bit, but he is not phased by the high pitch beep at all. I can hear the beep and it is very high pitched. I am now able to leave the front door open so they can see outside. I was NEVER able to do this because they would bark at people, cars, squirrels, the mail carrier's vehicle and of course the Amazon deliveries that I receive 2 - 3 times per week. I do put the barking collar on my PugTzu as soon as he has his first morning barking episode, but no longer need the other collars because the MODUS anti-bark device has been a miracle. My neighbors have a 150 pound lab that I will use it on when he does not stop barking. They also have a Snorkie and a Yorkie. I have used it on the Snorkie and she runs off for a minute and then returns to the fence to bark again. It comes with two AAA batteries and has been a life saver. I did not rate the battery life because I have no idea how long they will last. I highly recommend it - at least for dogs without floppy ears. :)

It works on my treeing walker coonhound, until it doesn't. I thought the batteries went dead, but he literally looked at me and barked while I used it to correct him... I have used it since July. It works as long has he listens. But I think it may not be sounding like it did in the beginning.

8/11/2022 - this device is amazing!! Be sure that when you use it, you are saying “No!” At the same time you click the button. This will train the dog to associate you saying the command “No!” with the uncomfortable sound of the device. Eventually, you won’t need the device, and just need to say “No!” for the dog to stop barking. I’ve used this with a lot of success to train my pups not to jump on people, as well as not to bark in certain situations or any other instances I need to say “No!”. Most recently I used this to help an elderly woman with a chihuahua that has a bite history. I only had to press the button once and it immediately stopped the chihuahua’s aggressive growling and barking toward us.1/25/20- it’s been about a week since I used this. I took my dogs to run errands and as I was on the road I realized I forgot this back at home. To my surprise I went through the CVS drive thru, my dog barked once and I said “no” And he stopped immediately. I couldn’t believe it!! This is huge. He never listens when it comes to barking. I went through another drive thru to grab a coffee and not even a peep! This is just after a week or so of training my dog with this contraption. Again, I don’t know how it works. I know it does work, and my dog does not like the sound at all. While training, UPS came to the door and my dog started barking non stop. I clicked this device for a second and my dog immediately stopped and turned around, in almost a startled way. That said, I try not to use this too much. But again, it does work. My neighbor said it’s like those contraptions for mice. Well I bought a few of those pest control devices and can confirm that they do not work, but this anti barking device really works. The only thing that would make this absolutely perfect is if it were smaller and could fit on a key chain so that I don’t forget it and it doesn’t take so much room in my pocket. But like I said, I didn’t even need to use it yesterday. Sorry to go on so much about this but just surprised and grateful that I purchased something like this at a reasonable price and it works!! Which is kind of sad, when I think about it. Don’t hesitate to purchase. It’s a game changer. So much less stressful about taking my dog out or holding a conference call from home. His only quirk is that he is very protective and loves the sound of his bark. I take him to the grocery story and he barks non stop at the people walking in the parking lot. I take him through a drive thru and he barks non stop at the cashier. I walk him outside and he barks at neighbors. I tell him to stop, to sit...he just doesn’t listen once he starts barking (despite being a really smart dog and knowing lots of tricks). His bark is ear piercing and a bit embarrassing. I really thought this was going to be a waste of money, but decided to take the chance of losing $30. I am so glad I did! I tested it in parking lots, the CVS drive thru, and just now with my neighbors!! With one click, and the command “no” he stops barking!!! I can’t believe it! It’s a miracle. I was actually able to have a conversation with my neighbor while my pup sat quietly by my side. I have no idea how this works or why. I pray that it is not doing anything harmful to my dogs ears, brain, or nervous system. I truly only click it for a split second and it works. So amazing!!

I have two little dogs who bark at every dog we see on our daily walks. One of my dogs also barks at people walking down the street, people on bikes/scooters, people standing outside their house, people at the park, and sometimes even birds (he's sweet but not too smart). I bought this trainer to try to stop the barking during our walks. The first time I used it, my dogs were barking at a dog that was behind a wooden fence, so we couldn't see it. This stopped all three dogs from barking immediately, with one push of the button. The other few times I used this trainer, my dogs were barking at other dogs being walked along the street. My well-behaved dog stopped barking fairly quickly, but my dog who barks at everything gets into such a frenzy that either he can't hear the sound from the trainer or he chooses to ignore it. Either way, it's clear that this just won't work for him, so I returned it. The return was quick and easy (took it to an Amazon return counter at Kohl's) and I received my refund immediately. I would say that this product might work for some dogs who bark but otherwise remain pretty calm (although I'm not sure it's worth the $30 I paid for it), but it's not usable for dogs who really get worked up. If they're scared of everything and/or highly territorial, like my dog is, working with a professional trainer would probably be better.

Like most folks, I was very skeptical. It isn't overly expensive, and at my wits end, I decided to give it a try. No regrets. I have two small dogs, one is quiet, and one is very yappy. This device showed up yesterday. The first time I used it, he barked and I said quiet. He carried on, so I hit the button quickly and said quiet again. He sat immediately and looked at me. Thought he would try again, got the same response. I used it a couple of times yesterday, and that was all it took. Today was spent in complete peace and quiet, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I feel a little bad for the quiet dog, because she doesn't like that sound either, but small price to pay. I don't use it when he is playing...just when he gets going on his barking rants, or going nuts every single time he sees someone outside, or hears another dog bark. This thing has been a lifesaver, and I recommend it to anyone. Please note that if your dog is hard of hearing, do not buy this...it won't work. I love this thing. Thanks for giving me a dog who is now just pleasant!!

I have found this a waste of time and money. I have a chihuahua and a labrador who both bark excitedly at other dogs; therefore walking them is sometimes hard work. When I initially tried this device the dogs moved their heads a little; but that was all. Recently when out walking I have tried to use it and although it bleeps to inform you it is working there is absolutely no effect on my dogs. I have put new batteries in it but they make no difference to the performance of this device. I think I will try the old fashioned dog whistle and see if that does the trick!!. To sum up I am so very disappointed that this does not kerb my dog's behaviour.

The dogs bark is obviously louder than the noise it emits. I have 3 dogs and although they did at first pause the first couple of times we used it, that didn't last and by the third time of using it, didn't even seem to notice the noise, they bark so loudly and it's so high pitched when they bark, I think they quickly drowned out any hope of it being of any use. I should send it back for a refund really, but haven't got the time. Might just be our dogs are too loud for it, I'm so disappointed I really wanted it to work!!!

Nextdoors 3 yapping chihuahuas no more 🤣😂🤣😂I actually didn’t believe this thing would work and I was just having a punt however this thing really does work. When pressed, my dalmatian stands to attention. Perfect for silencing the dogs in the neighbourhood when they all start a chorus!!

Ticks all the boxes. I don't know what thickness means but it sits nicely in the hand and is not too heavy to slip into the small pocket of a lightweight coat and sports gear, although it would be uncomfortable in the poacher's pocket of your jeans. Effective at range, it will stop your dog dead in its tracks and readily enforces your command. If you want to become a dog whisperer then definitely buy this. My field tests confirm it is ideal for training your animal, quietening noisy neighbours' dogs, and disrupting rampaging pets of irresponsible owners. If only it worked as well on people !
