Perfect cable for connecting an Earstudio Bluetooth reviever to studio monitors.
I use this to connect my Earstudio reviever to studio monitors. It works well and is made from quality materials. These cables have to be made by hand, so keep that in mind when judging prices.I noticed there is a new version of this product, but I am sure it is of the same quality as this one.

Quality cable
This cable seems to be constructed well and provides improved sound quality over ordinary RCA cables. The connectors as well as the cable itself are heavy-duty. Only potential negative is the durable construction makes the cable less flexible than other cables I'm used to...but I would take good construction over flexibility any day when it comes to sound quality. I use it to connect my amplifier to the 2.5mm balanced connection of my DAP.

Works great with my EarStudio ES 100 receiver.
This works great with my EarStudio ES 100. The XLR connectors are decent and I have not experienced any issues. Since my source is a bluetooth receiver, I'm not doing any critical listening, but everything seems perfect.

Your success in using this will depend upon your connected gear
I bought this mainly of curiosity, as I have a portable music player with a 2.5mm balanced output and a powered speaker with a couple of XLR inputs. To be clear: the music player's balanced output is intended for use with headphones. What I'll write about should not be taken as criticism of the cable (or the player or amp that I used). The reason I was curious about this cable is because there's no way that the cable could establish a ground reference for the device attached to the 2.5mm plug. This is a TRRS plug; the four connections are used to establish two balanced connections. (If you take a look at the 4.4mm balanced plugs, you'll see that they're TRRRS; that fifth connection is used as a ground reference.)My tests confirmed suspicions: there is some hum introduced by the player. How loud that hum is depends upon a lot of factors, including both the attached gear and the environment in which it operates.I suspect that if I was connecting a player that had its own ground reference (e.g. a 3-wire mains connection), the hum would have been absent. For a battery-powered (or worse: powered by a wall-wart) device, you should expect the connection to hum.If you're handy with a soldering iron, you could run a lead from the ground pin of one of the XLR connectors to a clip that you could simply attach to some bit of chassis metal on the player. In the case of a portable player like mine that has both 3.5mm TRS and 2.5mm TRRS jacks, you could run the ground reference to the sleeve terminal of a 3.5mm plug leaving the other pins unconnected.Other than the questionable application, I have no concerns regarding this cable. It does what it claims to do.

Nice cable
This cable is well constructed of quality materials and very sturdy. I use it to connect my Astel&Kern AK380 digital audio player to my THX AAA 789 balanced headphone amp. The sound is good and I recommend this cable if you have a need similar to mine.

Well made and worked fine
This was purchased for use with a 4.4mm balanced audio system and it worked fine. I only returned it because the headphone cable I bought for my HD-650's was acoustically noisy requiring it's return and no longer needing any 4.4mm connecting cables.

Nice
Heavy duty, well constructed cable. Connections are tight and sound is sweet using 2.5mm balanced out from A&K SP2000 to Monolith THX HP amp. XLR out of amp to Focal Clear's.
