Aqua Stream Stainless Steel Pet Fountain

I don't write a lot of reviews but this fountain needs more recognition & cat owners need this in their life! I've literally owned hundreds of fountains, every kind on the market since inception I kid you not & regularly order new models that come along, just to see if my life can get any easier & features any better w/fountains. My cat is elderly & picky & likes the most realistic thin flow stream that she'd get out of the sink. It's extremely hard to find that & find a fountain that isn't loud, obnoxious, hard to clean, gets dirty fast, allows a splash, etc. So many things to meet to please an owner & the cat. I've had this fountain for over year & a half & it's still the best one I've ever came across, tested & owned. What I absolutely love about this that has every single fountain on the market beat is that is is the EASIEST fountain to clean!! I'm telling you this is the BEST feature! It's literally a round stainless steal bowl & small casing attachment & it cleans so easy & fast. I have a pet mate fountain in my bedroom that while my cat likes it, it's much harder to clean w/all kinds of nooks, crannies & white plastic to clean that gets scum buildup rather easily. I do love that one though b/c of the quietness & color being white. I keep two fountains in house plus window bowls attached to window for easy access b/c my cat is 18 yrs old, elderly & early CKD, so she needs to drink & be reminded to wherever she's at in house. A dry cat food diet (the worse kind for a cat) esp. needs rampant access to clean, fresh water everywhere in a house & make it easy for a senior kitty to get to wherever they are b/c they often have arthritis & are too sore or in pain to get down to get a drink. I also only use PURIFIED water in all her fountains & bowls b/c tap water has phosphorous in it too which is bad for cat's kidneys, esp. elderly ones or diseased kitties. If you run out of purified, distilled is next best but I highly encourage cat owners to use purified only b/c it has no phosphurous which is bad for senior kitties & kidney function. Another bonus of using purified water is the water stays cleaner & fresher longer & your kitty will drink more b/c it just taste better. Purified water doesn't ruin the motor on the pump as quick either & greatly reduces the scum buildup & ick. Back to the fountain... it has adjustable water flow for picky cats who like wide or thin like mine. The filter on top is just a tiny square that can be washed out well in between replacing & used again. The other filter is a square sponge that simply sits over the pump to keep it cleaner & no hair into it. A real plus imho, b/c it def. keeps the water cleaner longer. However, it is near impossible to find the exact replacement sponge labeled for this fountain, but any square sponge filter from other models will work fine & is what I use. I just bought 12 from an off brand China company that sells them for the lotus or 360 models. They work & are near identical. They just sit over the pump in the bottom of bowl. This stainless steal bowl is so easy to wash, you just dump the old water & get a round soft brush that you'd stick in round drink glassware & wash out super easily & done. The top blue casing is also easy w/just the lid, the round part that goes over the pump valve & the casing itself that sits on top. Literally only two peices to clean & the lid, plus the pump & bowl. It's so easy & if you're a clean freak like me, this is such a plus b/c you can literally get this clean w/out much effort & quickly, unlike the plastic models that you have to scrub to get the slime & scum buildup off. Plastic fountains are so hard to keep clean in my experience b/c of the pourous material & how scum & bacteria grow on it. This fountain you don't have to deal w/that, b/c it's stainless steal. It holds a ton of water which is great for multi cat or dog households. I wish they made a smaller model for one cat households b/c I certainly don't need this much water for one cat, but I like the fountain so much, I don't mind the extra water. That's the only downside I can think of but would be a positive for someone who goes out of town or is gone for a few days & worried about the fountain getting low. It still runs even when it gets below half way. The round bowl is much easier to clean than square & odd shaped bowls. My cat loves the stream on the lowest, thinest setting & also drinksf from the bowl. My only issue is finding this fountain online or anywhere to buy. I went to buy a second one & sadly, this one from this seller never arrived. I waited forever, several months & it never came. They did refund my money however right away. It's worth the wait if you want a perfect fountain. I would def. recommend this to anyone who's lazy, wants easy to clean, holds a lot of water, multi or single households, likes clean water longer & wants a fountain to last a long time. I can't say enough about how easy this fountain is to clean! I highly recommend it!

Cats drink more than they ever have. Found if I use bottled water stays cleaner longer. Easy to clean.

UPDATE after a year of having one and 2 years of having the first one i purchased they are both working GREAT! best fountain Ive ever purchased and i have purchased many! so far so good! i have this fountain for a few months now and my 17 yr old kitty loves it ...i got it because it has the falling stream and if your pets like to drink out of a running faucet this is the is fountain for them. my kitty is obsessed with ice so i put a cup of ice in the bowl a few times a day... she loves it. (our other cat wants nothing to do with it! ha!). i purchased this just for my older kitty and she LOVES it. ive owned others and this is bar far the best. easy to clean and assembly. took me minutes. great purchase!

Both my cat and myself love the fountain! It's not too big, just the size I was hoping for. It's a stainless steel bowl with a light-weight plastic cover for the filtering system (a small black device that suctions onto the bottom of the bowl). It's not too heavy, I don't think that my cat would be able to tip it over. The filtration system does have a hum, but it isn't noisy and personally I find it kind of soothing. The box is supposed to come with a filter (mine did not so I'm trying to get a replacement), and it recommended that the filter is replaced every 2-4 weeks. Overall, this fountain is a great product and I'm happy to have it!

This is my kitty’s second one of this brand. I’ve had 2 other brands over the years but this one was the best. I really like the filter around the motor which my other one didn’t have b/c fur gets caught in the motor. As long you clean it regularly ( this one is the easiest to clean) and keep water in in, it should last about 1-2 years. Take in consideration that it’s running 24/7 and I have hard water. My rotten fur-babies would only drink out of the running water from the sink before I bought them a fountain water bowl.

LOVE this pet fountain! The pump is adjustable for water flow, and it's EASY TO CLEAN. I've had others / plastic ones that were not only time consuming to take apart and put back together, but they seemed to get slimy in as little as 24 hours. Filters are cheap and easy to switch out. No messy charcoal pellets to deal with. Stainless steel is a breeze and it all goes in the dishwasher except the pump and filter. And the cats love it too!

This pet fountain was very easy to put together and it’s very easy to clean. However, I’ve only had it a little over a month and the pump has already stopped working. I’m so disappointed. My cats LOVE drinking from this fountain, so I’m going to order another pump. I’m hoping the next pump will last longer or else this could end up being a very costly water fountain.

Its is mid February 18, Ive used this water bowl since May 17, still going strong. I have two cats that share this, clean it once a week, make sure to clean the hair from the motor area, as with any pump. I would recommend this water fountain!
