There are other products out there that may be somewhat more user friendly, but this one has the benefit of being genuine U.S. Army issue - also includes associated hardware/straps for mounting to body armor or plate carrier.For those not familiar with the standard issue tactical assault panel, they have some pluses and minuses. It's very durable and can take a beating, and has plenty of integral magazine pockets built in. There's also three mesh pockets on the inside with Velcro / zipper closures. Personally, I'm not a fan of the magazine retention straps; though they're sturdy and work reasonably well, they can get in the way when using the pockets for other items and aren't removable.Additionally, the shoulder/waist strap sucks. It's a bit narrow without padding and doesn't have any mounting/attachment points. Also, it's pretty difficult to get a decent fit. Non-issue rigs are usually better in that respect. Most units don't really care if one uses non-issue gear as long as it appears similar.

It's mil-spec, it fits well, it works well. If you're looking for a "chest rig" magazine carrier, this one is comfortable and is very adjustable for different body size (all parts included). Magazines are held in securely, but are easy to access. Mil-spec gear is the most durable, $ well spent in my book.

This is exactly what I needed to update my rack to OCP. It arrived quickly. It was in brand new condition. It will be going with me to the next training exercise and deployment.
