Good enamelled copper wire
The wire arrived as stated. It appears to be old school type enamelled copper wire with the enamel needing to be scraped off with a knife or emery paper as was always the case before! The wire was as advertised 10 metres of 0.5 mm ECW! I could not find fault with it but perhaps a little pricey!

Avoid - does not solder
The description quite clearly states "easy to use - Directly welding without scraping isolation layer.". I have to confess that I'm making an assumption that by "welding" they mean "soldering". I could, however, be wrong and they really are talking about welding and I need an arc-welder to burn off the coating. Either that or you have to run your iron at some ridiculously hot temperature. If the wire (coating) worked it would be perfect. Sadly there are two main problems: the coating seems to do a very good job of resisting solder, it simply refuses to stick. The other problem (as stated) is the coating clearly does not burn off with heat. Even trying to heat the wires directly before applying solder makes no difference.I have given it 3 stars just in case it's me - otherwise it would have been 1.EDIT: It's not me - so changing this to 1 star. I took a blow lamp to the wire to see if I could burn off the coating. Whether I heated the wire the point it was glowing or not, I simply could not burn off the coating to achieve any form of conduction. So the wire not solderable (weldable, as they say). I guess it's function is purely decorative.

Perfectly fine.
More than adequate,I may go for a larger gauge on a personal note, but more than adequate and supplied as is described.
