I bought these boots for a 16-year old border collie (I used size 5). My collie has issues with her back legs and tends to drag her back paws, scraping the top of her "knuckles" which can become red raw and bleeding when walking on hard paved surfaces. I have used other elasticated rubberised boots which are ok but they can be rather awkward to put on and they soon wear through. However, Petacc dog boots are easy to put on as they are not elasticated and they open very wide to enable easy insertion of the paw. There are two separate Velcro straps for added security and the moulded sole is hard wearing and can be used extensively on pretty well all surfaces. After many walks, these boots have remained securely attached because the Velcro can be done up securely without being tight. Interestingly, the shape of the sole seems to have improved the way my collie walks: her paw no longer rolls over and scrapes when she is wearing these boots. There is no doubt in my mind that these boots are outstanding value for money and, indeed, they are the best dog boots I've found so far.

I bought a set of these when my dog was recovering from a deep cut on a pad. I measured the boot as instructed and ordered the appropriate size boots. However, although the boots DO go on, and his paw does fit inside them, the fit is so tight that the boots would have put far too much pressure on the cut pad. So I think I would advise that if you're buying the boots to protect a pad injury, maybe buy a size larger than the sizing would suggest.I would say that the boots did look sturdy and good quality, but unfortunately we were unable to use them.

Brought these to protect our pooches paws during the salt season. He was hilarious when we first put them on. Eventually he got the hang of them. When they stay on they work really well. Have to keep an eye on the dogs paws to make sure none of the boots had come off. I would still recommend but be prepared for a stop start walk. They came off a few time on our way round his usual circuit.

My dog had an operation to have a ruptured and infected claw removed, and we needed something to protect his paw when the bandage was taken off to dry the injured area but it was still sore.We tried a few different sizes but unfortunately none of them fit my his paw. They were either too short when the width was ok or too long when the the width fit well. So I had to return all of them but the shoes are sturdy and well made. It is worth a try to see if they fit your dog. Return was easy and I received the refund the next day after I sent them back.

The best boots I've used so far. My labs are always cutting their feet on flints, and these are the first boots to stay on for the duration of a walk. Also, they didn't irritate, so they returned unchewed. Fantastic.

I've bought this product a couple of times as it seems to last better than any other dog boots. However the last pack seemed to fall apart very quickly. My elderly Cavalier drags his front feet so the top of his toes suffer cuts. These boots do protect but I have found the soles to fall apart much quicker on the last set. Ive been 'gluing' them together with shoe goo which works wonders but that product is now horrendously expensive.The velcro on the last set was also not very durable.Would I buy again - yes because my poor dog needs them.

These are very good fitting for my elderly border collie, he has problems whilst walking on hard ground due to arthritis and the boots give him some support.

These boots are brilliant and well worth the money we are going to get some more and put them away for the winter. Our Rottweiler kept cutting between her toes while in the park where she rummages about in the bushes but these have stopped all that highly recommend them
