We have hard water these filter help keep the machine from getting clogged up with calcium.

Great filter but costly
The filter cleans very well. Using it for years I never need to descale my coffee machine. Therefore, the quality is very good. Installation is easy. However the price is very high. I was told that it costs half in Europe. Another issue is lifetime. It is very short. I recall the spec is 5000 cups of coffee. But I am very sure that it lasts less than 500 cups. I am using filtered water, not tap water.
