This product is a perfect solution for setting up string lights outdoors. It's a smart plug and dimmer in one, which reduces the headache of having to source a smart plug and a separate dimmer strung together to get the same results as this single unit. The only thing that could make this product better is if it had an addtl outlet that you could connect a second string of lights to that is independently controlled. The dimmer function will dim a 50ft string of G40 LED lights all the way down to 10% (barely perceptible light) before it completely turns off. I don't ever expect to need to go lower than that so it's not a problem for me. You can also set it to 10% as the lowest dimmer level also, which is a nice touch so you don't inadvertently dim below that and shut off the lights completely. No flickering, flashing or need to plug in a standard incandescent in to the string of lights to avoid it. Also really like that this comes in white, as it matches the trim on the side of my house much better and makes for a cleaner install.

The install is pretty easy as I've used the Smart Life app before. Once everything pairs up this worked for the most part minus the dimmer. I thought the string light I got were the problem so I replaced the bulbs with "dimmable" led bulbs..Sadly that didn't fix it. So I move the smart switch from the start of the extension cable to the end just before the lights and sure enough the dimmer started working. So the lesson learned, for the dimmer to work it has to be connected as close to the lights as possible. Luckily I have good wifi connection deep in my backyard.

This is exactly what we needed. Set up was quick. We were able to program our lights to come on at dusk and turn off at 2am. Also able to control brightness, which was great, as the lights were too bright. Now; Perfect ambience!

This is a very heavy duty outdoor light dimming switch. Perfect for porch lights, or holiday decorations. You can dim her lights, increase the brightness or turn them off all by voice control.Was quite impressed with the little qualities this dimmer switch offers. The three way plug to plug your light source onto is inset. It really help water from seeping in. It also has a cover that hooks on to cover the plug in when not in use. The plug that plus into the wall switch is equally made well.These are heavy dirty plugs with heavy duty wires,The instructions that come in the nice box it was packed in tell the most inexperienced person how to hook this dimmer light up to Alexa. This switch is Alexa only controlled and works very well. This switch will not disappoint.

Our backyard fence and phone company wire above our yard has several patio cafe lights strung together and previously used an outdoor outlet plug that looked like a thick outlet tap with 6 inch cord.This item appeared with dim or 4 different lighting functions and alexa integration on the recommended for you on amazon. My only feedback for future improvements on this smart plug is the color, I wish I could have ordered this in black to match the rest of my cafe string lighting cables. The smart life app already controls over 20 devices in my smart home so this was a simple pairing and renaming to add this to our eco system. The product listing also have the alexa approved and works with our echo show icons.

I purchased this to use on my enclosed front porch to dim a strand of 50 LED string lights. At full brightness, the lights were way too bright. I wanted to use the string lights as my front porch lights rather than my even brighter can lights. This dimmer is PERFECT and I couldn’t be happier with it. I have the timer set to turn on at 8:00 pm and then off at 8:00 am everyday at 25% brightness. The light glow is perfect on my porch all night. It was easy to setup the smart plug and I’ve had no issues with my WiFi connection. Don’t hesitate to buy this if you’re looking for a dimmer for your LEDs!

I've had this two months now. I bought it to control 100 feet of Brighttown string lights. Installation was fairly straightforward - only confusing item was that instructions said to look for a white light while I had Amber. I've integrated with Alexa and works perfectly. Dimming functions work as expected and I've had no network connectivity issues. I like the short cords too - good form factor.

I have three strings of LED lights (90 Watts total) plugged into a triple tap extension cord so they can be strung in different directions. The extension cord is plugged into the dimmer. When only one string of lights is plugged in, the dimming function works. However, when you plug in two or three, the dimming won't work. On/Off works with the app and Alexa but setting up the dimmer with the app was a little more difficult than it needed to be. If you are using this with only one string of lights, the dimmer should work. I can't say the same for multiple strings of lights.
