Pleasantly Surprised...
After reading negative reviews, I was a little skeptical of this purchase. Before installing it, I ensured all the bolts on the derby cover glass were sufficiently tight. I've had zero problems after at least 1000 miles. Very happy with the buy.9/24/20 Update - The best part about this derby cover is that I can monitor the primary fluid without having to take it off. Considering the issue with fluid transfer on the Harley M8s, this is a big plus. Unfortunately, I have to walk back my enthusiasm for this product after I started noticing leaks. I tried taking it off and giving it a thorough cleaning. I also made sure to use Loctite on all the screws, including the little window screws, but after one ride, it's leaking again - although not as badly so far. I did notice that the window gaskets started breaking down. I wonder if that's the weak link causing the leaking. Also, the finish started peeling off on the inside of the cover, but not where it could get into the engine since it's well outside the derby gasket. There is a chance that fluid transfer from the tranny to the primary is factor in all this. Right now I'm trying to figure out next steps.12/30/20 Update - ALL my problems with leaking disappeared once I installed the Harley vent kit (part# 26500027) to solve the fluid transfer problem on my M8 Street Glide. After dealing with leaking primary fluid for sometime, I finally discovered that excess pressure in the primary was what was driving the leaking. I've had no primary fluid leakage with this derby cover since installing the vent kit. Reference HD Service Bulletin M1492 for more information about this issue. Apologies to the seller for assuming the problem was the derby cover.

Product looks amazing but leaks oil from the glass

Bad product
The screws that hold the window on won't stay tight which caused an oil leak. Very dissatisfied with the product.

You can’t tighten the plexiglass cover
Before installing the cover I noticed the Allen bolts retaining the plexiglass cover seemed loose, so I applied blue loctite and snugged them down in a cross pattern ever so slightly, that’s when the spider cracks started. Cool looking derby cover but you don’t want that failing on a ride.

Finish my 2017 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Milwaukee 8
Before installing I removed the clear plastic cover and spread a thin layer of clear silicone. I let the silicone thoroughly dry then reinstall the clear cover. I put blue Loctite on the screws and make sure they were tight. I now have about 4000 miles on the bike and not one leak. It works great and it looks great.
