White Forsythia (Abeliophyllum distichum) Flowering Tree Shrub in 2L Pot

It looked very feeble, opening the box it had few long strands, not very impressed.

Sturdy plant, healthy. Big enough to be planted in permanent site (behind a lower growing shrub). Well packed.

We bought this for our brother in law who died and because of the corona virus we couldn’t get to the funeral so thought we would have our own little ceremony in the back garden and plant a white forsythia as Forsyth was his surname .. sadly it was damaged when we took it out of the box. We had no time to get a replacement ....

Arrived in good condition and packed really well. The leaves are changing colour but, I believe that’s just the time of year.I have planted it according to the instructions and hopefully it will flower early next year, there’s some small buds that look like they will develop. High hopes that this little fella!
