Philips Sonicare HX8331/30 Airfloss Pro Rechargeable Electric Flosser, Previous Version

I really like the way this works. That said it does have a few bugs. When it was new it was regularly jamming and it required taps or raps to free it up. It was annoying. After about a month it is working much much better. I did change brands of mouthwash. I am using Crest Pro-Health Multi-Protection Alcohol Free.So I am not sure if it just required a break-in period or the mouthwash makes a difference. You are supposed to use alcohol free wash which I was but I did change brands. Either way I am very happy with the cleaning performance now, though it took patience to get through the first month or so.Jay

I enjoy using it but I do not believe it can replace regular flossing. My normal routine is to floss, followed by Sonicare toothbrush, then use the Airfloss with half water/half mouthwash. It usually picks up a few specks and leaves you feeling fly. However, expect it to break. Mine failed after 3 weeks. Replacement was sent quickly. From reading the reviews I expect this replacement will break soon too but it comes with a 2.5 year warranty so I'll just keep getting replacements. UPDATE - On 2nd replacement in less than 3 months. Never-the-less, I enjoy this product and replacement is (almost) hassle free.

Good first 3 months of use. The pressure behind the shot of water with this air/water flosser is high enough to clean the inter-tooth space yet not so fierce as to hurt.I had one problem, which is similar to those described by others, which was easily cured by cleaning out the tiny air hole in the bottom of the side lid. The symptoms were:1. it sometimes missed a shot of water2. the pump made a whining noise3. it became progressively worse over a few days4. finally the pump stopped working altogetherI am happy with my purchase and ready to recommend it to others.

I was so happy about this product but it just broke...again. See what I said before it did. Unbelievably poor quality. This is our 3rd airflosser. We were sold the first by our dentist and it did died about 15 months after purchase. The 2nd was this model and it was plagued with problems from the beginning including some I did not even realize until it completely died and we got our 3rd. The top green area above the reservoir controls when the water bursts are released. I had no idea as our 2nd one only turned on and off from the bottom button and then only reluctantly which meant water spray all over the place. The 3rd seems to be working fine. We shall see how long it lasts... If you are wondering why we keep buying this product it is because I HATE to floss and with this gizmo I will never have to wind string around my fingers and contort them into my mouth again. My hygienist gives me gold stars for my plaque free teeth. This never happened before I started using the airflosser. Make sure you buy the correct nozzles for your model. They are not interchangeable.It would be nice if they had different colors so family members could keep track of whose nozzle is whose.

I bought this product and it worked for the first year after that it would shut off make this weird noise and I couldn’t get it to work .. I Figured I’m out of my warranty .. it was nice when it worked .

Within the first two months, the cover to the mouthwash well came off and could not be fully reattached. Not a fatal flaw and I could work around this. However after less than a year, I cannot push down on the area that makes the flosser actually work even after working to remove any dried mouthwash. I give up.

I was skeptical about this product but have to admit it works well. It's got a hair trigger so I wound up "shooting" the batroom mirror on occasion. It is something to get use to and can be a little messy before getting the hang of it.

Use it every day. Works very well, but it has a powerful spray so water could splatter across the mirror and sink, but you learb ways to avoid that.
