Suction is great!
This is my second Electrolux. I love the suction. This is my first upright. It is heavier then expected. It moves forward well but requires strength to pull it back. Three levels. On #1 it is harder to move then raising it up to 2 or 3. I still really like it's power. Utensils store on it for easy access. The cord is so long that I can plug it in the middle of my house and sweep it all without moving plug. Great!Design could be improved if the ON/OFF switch was placed further down the handle. I keep bumping it and turning off the vacuum. Very happy with purchase.

Great vacuum
This is a great vacuum. It is easy to use and gets our carpet very clean. For the amount of suction it provides, it is relativity quiet.

It restores the nap of the carpet which has been flattened by wear
I wanted a heavy vacuum cleaner which had enough suction to restore flattened areas of carpet in high use areas.

Easy and efficient
Easy to assemble and use. Great suction, it almost feels like as if it’s pushing itself. Highly recommend.

Great vacuum
This is the best vacuum for picking up and keeping the carpet clean. We use it in a entry and waiting area where there is a lot of traffic and children

Not for people with combination floors; bags hard to find
I've been wanting a bagged HEPA vacuum for a long time. Unlike most people who seem to love their bagless vacs, I hate emptying those gross cups and then watching all the dirt and grime get all stuck on the inside of the vacuum chamber. Plus, no matter what anyone says, I think they fail more often and let more dirt out through the cracks. If you empty them in the house, the dirt becomes airborn (thus defeating the purpose of the HEPA filter), but you can't always go outside! So, YAY bagged vac! However, this one has some serious flaws for your average homeowner. Firstly, the bags themselves cannot be purchased on Amazon, or anywhere else that I have seen except directly from the manufacturer. Secondly, and MOST importantly, you cannot turn off the rollers, meaning this machine is basically useless for hardwood floors or tiles as the dirt just gets scattered everywhere. So, basically, if you have carpet AND hardwood flooring/tile you are going to need another machine, which is irritating, especially if you don't really have the space to keep two around. The vacuum does have "attachments" but the hose is extremely short. I can barely reach to the baseboards of my, and even the tiniest stretch beyond causes the hose to come loose from its clip attachment (the hose is not permanently joined to the attachment end, but "clips" in place. The vacuum attachment is difficult to replace on the machine, and I sometimes had to try two or three times until it fit where it was supposed to go.The cord is very long, and detachable, which is great. And the vacuum itself seems to go a good job filtering out allergens. There is no "dust" smell from the exhaust area like you get with most vacuums, even many of the other HEPA ones I've tried. The machines pushes smoothly across the floor, is reasonably light, and the main body of the vacuum seems well constructed. However, I think the clips that holds the hose in place is likely to break long before the rest of the vacuum.I am mostly dissappointed with the length of the hose. Yes, this IS an upright vacuum, but I have used many of those in my day, and the hose should be long enough to stretch to reach high corners, or at least mid way up the stairs without pulling loose or dumping the vacuum over, and this one does both. All in all: If you only need a vacuum for carpet, want a bagged vac, and don't care if the hose is very short, then this one might work for you because the quality seems reasonable, and the price lower than a lot of similar "professional" grade vacuums.
