Neato Robotics Botvac D Series D75 Robot Vacuum Cleaner

To the untrained eye it may seem I'm relaxing on the couch, drinking a cup of espresso, and watching "The price is right." but I'm really vacuuming! The Neato was very easy to set up, the instructions were terse and to the point, but it was easy to follow along and set up the clock, schedule the timing for the daily vacuuming. The dust bin is easy to clean. After cleaning for an hour the neato found it's way back to it's docking station and began recharching.During the vacuuming it got stuck once and I paused and emptied the dust bin twice. Otherwise it went flawlessly and really did an amazing job on my tile floor. We are a family of four, with a schnauzer, and we walk in dust and dirt. Right now our street is torn up and nothing but sand, which comes into the house. The Neato did a great job picking up all the debris and dust.Instead of just bouncing back and forth aimlessly, Neato runs back and forth, under furniture, and does along the wall and into corners great. I have it set for 10 daily and it's been working great.* A little update with a few things I've learned from living with the neato.1- time vacuumed will depend on how much vacuuming is needed, the first day it ran about 2 hours, now it's down to an hour and 15 min. it maps out the area and senses how many times it needs to go over each, as it cleans every day the floors stay cleaner so it needs to go over less times, shortening vacuum time2- once it's started don't start moving stuff or opening and shutting doors trying to steer it to vacuum certain parts.This will confuse it and it will start giving clear my path error messages even in the middle of an empty floor. Then one has to research the error message online, realize it's operator oops, reset the battery, and the next day it runs perfectly again. So once it starts let it go, if you want to move some chairs or something wait until before it's next scheduled run.3- it won't tell you if it's clogged. I noticed it was trailing dirt so I took out the tray and the intake was clogged with some paper, so you need to keep plastic, paper, etc off the floor.4- I love it and would buy another one in a heartbeat. My floors have seriously never looked better, every single day it vacuums for me! seriously, this has got to be one of my favorite gadgets ever.Hope these tips help

Don’t waste u money worked for 5 months then brush stopped working. Called for warranty for the run around for a month, Said before they could replace trouble shoot by trying this and try that nothing worked they finally replaced. But purchased new in nov 2016, replaces in March 2017. Here we are again the second unit stopped working this month too nov 2017. Again getting the run around from customer support, try this and try that. Then sent me an email during holiday week when I have family here giving me a deadline to respond. Very poor customer service and my Neato has worked In A month. Still getting run around. Amazon needs to check product reliability on this Neato and examine the customer service of manufacture.3rd time not a charm. Against neato stopped working and again the royal runaround from neato manufacturing comp. don’t both calling seller they won’t do nothing but say call neato. Don’t but this product unless you wanna give away 350.00. It works at first but after a few months code errors, machine making loud knocking sound, brush sometimes works sometimes doesn’t. Can find it way back to base station. Sent to neato for repairs came back and worked for one weeks then more errors now it won’t work at all and neato says sorry but we can’t help you. Amazon shame on you for allowing the product to be sold to your loyal customers. You should discontinue this product as I paid 300.00 for junk.......

After two years of use, typically 3 times/week around 1200 sq feet, split level use I'd buy another. When we first got this we loved it...then it started having a mind of its own. Keeps trying to go around and under the chairs in our kitchen repeatedly and sometimes says that's enough and quits. Overall however we can feel the difference in the hardwood floors it cleans. I've replaced the batteries once and the rollers once. Filters we just wash out but I've purchased maybe 1/2 dozen of them too. In our rec room it has trouble getting over the fringes on a oriental rug, but eventually does the job. Upstairs is all hardwood and a bathroom which it does a great job at, beats crawling under the bed for dust bunnies. I don't think any robot will get the edges or corners well, so I just walk around with a broom or swifter and push that stuff out where the robot gets it. I tried out the other brand that goes around in a random pattern for about a week before purchasing this one. I thought this one cleaned better and seems to make more sense when figuring out how to clean the room instead of just bouncing off the walls.

I have 3 of these, all Neato's but different models. I have one for each floor of the house and am able to vacuum all three floors at the same time!We have 3 messy little kids and a dog and these are all great for maintaining a clean floor and then we use the real vacuum every other week (or two) . The only downside is that the batteries are somewhat expensive and last about a year or so...but it is well worth it when I factor in how much vacuuming I didn't have to do over the year.My first Neato is 4 years old and still works great. This model is a great improvement over my original with the side brush and larger dirt canister. We use it on the main floor to get up against the cabinets in the kitchen and the older one in the bedrooms wich are mostly carpet. Different brushes work better on different surfaces and some are definitely more quite then others.

Battery degraded very quickly. Used it may be 50 times, definitely under 100. Now it can't even process room 15 by 12 feet . Currently can not even use it for small jobs cause it complains about dust bin even though it is empty. 500 dollars wasted. Also, got another older botvac from colleague and she was not happy too. Back to manual vacuuming. Multiple times it dies in the middle of the way to charging station after it detects low battery. Often could not dock properly. Looks like subpar engineering overall.

July 12, 2017 Update - Neato sent me a replacement after my first unit died after 4 months. Unfortunately the replacement only lasted 3 months and I have the exact same issue. Error code 3000. I have emailed Neato requesting a refund as I no longer trust the Brand after 2 units died so quickly.Updating my review. Only 4 months later and it doesn't work. Error code 3000. Neatos fix does not work. After doing more research I see lots of people are getting this error code. Waiting for Neato to respond to my request for a replacement.Feb 20: After about 5 days, Neato today emailed me and let me know that they will be sending out a new vac in a few days along with a return shipping label for the old vac. I am glad to see they hour their warranty.2 days later I called them, and they told me my request for warranty has been sent upstairs for approval. I will have a shipping label on Monday or Tuesday. It is best to call rather than email. It initially took over 24 hours for them to respond to my email asking for a shipping address, S/N, and receipt. They told me I should have a return shipping label sent to me in on Monday or Tuesday. Once they receive the product back, they will send out a new one.Oct 1, Received a brand new bot from Neato today along with a pre-paid shipping label to return the old one.Very nice customer service. I think some of the bad reviews I read about their customer service may have been competitors trying to trash them. I had no problem whatsoever with Neato honouring the warranty. Shipping did not cost me a thing.Loved it while it lasted. It took a couple of cycles to clean the fur from the carpet but now with daily use my are rug is almost fur free. must use daily for those kind of results. Brush free bar is tangled free. I would purchase the Neato D series again as it does a much better job than my old round robot vac

owned for 2.5 years now. vacuums really well. however, unit stopped docking on its own within first 6 months. noticed a significant decline in battery function in the first year as well. the battery drains quickly and can take several hours to charge. replacement filters and brushes are insanely expensive unless you go with generic - not sure how they compare to brand name however.

So far so good.It's fast, easy to clean
