Mitsubishi lamp
I ordered this bulb on July 30th, 2016 and installed it after received August 2nd, 2016. I am writing this review January 13th, 2018 because the bulb is starting to fade. I had ordered the cheap bulbs and one after the other, I had nothing but problems with them. Including one of the cheap bulb that exploded in my set less than 2 minutes after I installed it! I had to wait till I could afford this bulb but I have had it all this time and it has worked many, many hours. My set is on nearly everyday for 10-12+ hours a day, 7 days a week. This fits my Mitsubishi WD 65737 65 inch projection television. This genuine Mitsubishi authorized product has been biliant day after day with no loss in picture quality to the set edges as well. I wanted to rate this product 4.5 stars but this site does not allow for that. The reason I give this a half point less is because when I bought the set, the bulb the set camewith did not need replacing until nearly 3 years of service. I will not purchase any more of the cheaper bulbs because I have found the saying true; " buy quality, get quality ". The knock off bulbs have been you get what you pay for or; " buy cheap, get cheap "! I hope you find this helpfulP.S. Completely failed 1/16/18 and after doing the math, this lamp really should have lasted longer than 1.5 years so I would have to say that I rate this a 3 rather than a 4.5 considering, again, that my original lamp lasted 3 years!

A New Lease on Life
After 8 years, the original bulb finally failed. Ordered this bulb with Same Day shipping and had barely any downtime.Just completed the installation and this bulb is definitely brighter. I had to tone down my settings (to be expected replacing an old dim bulb).Appears to be an OEM replacement with Phillips bulb. Installation was a breeze, but I decided to stick with the OEM Phillips head screws, rather than the fat flatheads that came with the new unit, as they are easier to use, and I don't need two different screwdrivers. Be careful not to overtighten any of these screws, as the plastic is pretty brittle. Also, do not touch any part of the bulb as oil from hands can cause premature failure once the heat of the lamp kicks in.Along with a new DLP chip to remedy white spots 5 years ago, my Mitsubishi WD-60737 has a new lease on life. With such easy and cheap maintenance, and great picture, I won't be replacing this TV as long as parts are available. When this bulb fails, I'll update this review to provide an example of life span.

Warranty Snafu
Purchased this item on 1/10/2021. Received promptly and installed a couple of days after I got it. It worked just fine for approx 4 months. It's warranty was supposedly for 6 months. I contacted Amazon to inquire about filing a claim. I was advised that returns are only for 30 days. I did not want a return. I wanted a replacement under the warranty. I was then told that the warranty was in fact for 1 year but would need to take it up with the vendor, Aurabeam. I did my research to contact the vendor. The have an address and email info but no customer service info. I emailed their customer service and had not gotten a reply in over 1 month. I followed up with another email and cc'd their sales and legal Depts. Still no reply. I will never use Amazon to purchase this or similar items again. Using vendors that don't stand by their products is not good. This vendor's customer service is abhorrent and truly fit the definition of "sucking". Buyer BEWARE.

It works
We use the DLP TV so much that we have to change the bulb every 2 years or so. I ordered this replacement a couple of months ago and installed it early last week. So far, it's working like it supposed to; the dim image is now bright again and the TV doesn't keep trying to shut itself off like it does when the lamp gets too old. This particular unit seemed a little harder to install that the last one but it's been two years and maybe that one was a tight fit too the first time I installed it. Who knows.Anyway, I'm happy with the lamp and the price was reasonable. We'll see if it lasts 2 years like real Phillips lamps seem to do. By the way, this TV is 12 years old and has gone through 6 or 7 lamps. I strongly recommend Phillips (OEM) bulbs because the cheap ones only lasted less than 12 months.

Genuine Phillips but......
Shipping was delayed for a week but that is understandable due to the storms passing through. I did not remove any stars for that. Package was good, same as two others I bought here recently. I encountered various issues but decided to not return since I was waiting so long. I also disassembled and used the genuine bulb since I have had two others that had Osram bulb that didn't last but two months. At this rate I could just buy a new 55" TV. The TV main components were removed and cleaned (including fans etc. to ensure proper cooling.CONS - Instruction stated to screw in securely but bracket screw hole was broken - missing half Unit did not fit my TV, the bracket was different and the plug was different - I have a WD82838 The dust shield and air deflector was not present as mentioned in some other reviewsPRO - Bulb looks like a genuine Phillips and it brought my WD82838 back to life. Install instruction is ok for the average person wanting to replace their bulbs

Does not fit Mitsubishi WD82737
Housing is made of REALLY low grade plastic....after I got the unit and found that it did not fit the TV, I decided to switch the bulb from the new housing into the old housing. The older housing that was factory original was still in good shape and it only took a few minutes to remove the old bulb. When I tried to do the same with the one I just purchased so that I could transfer the bulb to the old housing, the housing basically shattered and fell apart. This is no sweat for me, really, because I couldn't use it anyway. Once I transferred bulb ( which is a real Factory Bulb and not a fake ) ALL was good and it worked fine. We are in our third week of watching and it works just fine!! The folks that made the plastic housing need to go back to the drawing board and use plastic that is dried properly before forming. Moisture in the resin is a killer of plastic parts and the result is brittle plastic that acts more like fragile glass.
