Rubie's Police Dog Pet Costume, Medium

Don't bother buying unless you plan to fix it up and make it actually look somewhat good. The quality of the accessories is absolutely terrible. The little plastic radio is a good bit shorter than the little bag it is intended to sit inside of so you can't even see it. The belt looks all bent up and terrible quality. The shirt itself is an extremely tight fit yet it is way too long, so hemming is required. Actually I'm probably going to do some other alteration to maybe make it a little looser. My dog is shown wearing XL and she has a pretty narrow, thin build, and only weighs around 35 lbs or so.

We have tried the costumes with the hats attached as hoodies, and hats with velcro. But this hat has to be the best at fitting and staying on our pets heads! It has elastic strings, that go around the head and places to put the ears through. it has a clip thing that can be tighten if needed. The accessories are the phone in a phone case and handcuffs, they are cheap though. Wish the handcuffs were more hardy. But we sill love this outfit and it is awesome. This is adorable, but the sizing scheme is ridiculous. I have a small German Shepherd female puppy, around 50 lbs. I bought the biggest size — an extra large — so she had room to grow. She’s about the height of my knees, not tall at all, and the Extra Large is way too SMALL! The accessories are cute but it is nowhere big enough to fit her front legs through the arms like the photo shows. I’m really, really disappointed. When I try to belt it in her, the costume slides sideways within a few minutes. If you don’t have a tiny happy dog, don’t buy this.

i would recommend measuring before hand, i thought my dog was a small lol turns put he is in the middle of medium and large lol i ended up getting a large and it fit him perfectly. he is a jack russell/ dachshund mix so he is a little longer then most dogs, i expected it to be a little short like most customs and little jackets are unless i size ip to the point where it is a little lose near his ribcage, he doesnt havr any fat on him either lol, but like i said, it fits his length perfectly, so if you do have a shorter dog might want to be careful, so its not to long for them.

I had to do a lot of work to get this costume to look cute. But it's a good base and I'm glad I bought it to dress up. I had to cut about a foot off the bottom because it was way too long. Then I ripped the cheesy plastic badges off the back and replaced with a "police" patch and put a metal police badge on the front chest. The belt is like an actual belt...which doesn't really make sense for a dog and seemed to really add to my dogs misery. So I cut the belt and sewed it to the costume. If you're willing to do a little work to make it presentable, this is worth the buy.

This costume is so cute on my little Laura. She is 8 months old and about 10 pounds and I bought the small, it fits great. She doesn't like the hat though, she wouldn't leave it on for the pictures! I think the badge on the hat is a little too big, it makes it sit weird on her head. The belt is thin, but that's to be expected for a cheap pet costume. Other than that, this costume is great. She doesn't mind wearing it.My husband and I rescued her in June and the rescue has a Halloween party each year, we decided that she will be the officer and he & I will be prisoners. We're hoping to win best pet-owner costume!

This is a very cute costume but not made for larger dogs or ones with a lot of fur. I bought the xl hoping for the best because this was the only one I could find. We have a collie and it just wouldn’t fit. I was unsure of his weight and all of that so i just got the biggest size they had. It wasn’t too far off but still too small to fit him comfortably. It seemed to be of good quality and it had everything it was supposed to come with so I’m not complaining.

The costume is super cute. It even has a little handcuffs, a belt and a little radio/cellphone. I loved the hat, it was my favorite part. Unfortunately it is not sized correctly, it states the X-Large will fit dogs the size of a Collie, Brittany, Springer Spaniel, Bulldog, etc. There is NO way it would fit those breeds of dogs, especially the bulldog. This costume is not made for any dog with any kind of broad chest. It didn't fit my friend's beagle mix, who is much smaller, and not broad chested. The size L is supposed to fit a beagle, but the XL wouldn't fit her, and she's very small. Super cute, loved the hat, but it's not going to fit your dog as you expect it to, which I am unfortunately not surprised, as most dog clothes seemed to be labeled incorrectly size wise. It was too long for her and then the chest part wouldn't stay closed.

This sizing is absolutely awful according to the chart it was a right size for my dog when it arrived she couldn’t even fit her leg in it

Le costume est de bonne qualité mais malheureusement il est trop petit.Mon chien pèse 70 livres et selon les recommandations de grandeur, j'avais commandé le XL mais il est trop petit.Je vais essayer de le modifier moi-même afin qu'il convienne à mon chien.C'est dommage.

Came just in time for Halloween last year and it was perfect!!! The hat fits great and the measurements on the site fit exactly as expected. Quality for the price. the color is darker blue than the picture - in a good way. And the outfit comes complete with a walky talky and handcuffs (that actually open)

worst thing I've ever purchased!! didn't fit to size (even with using the size chart) and it didn't look anything like the picture...I'll I got was a blue shirt that was way to small and a hat that wouldn't even fit a babies head....waste of money!! I had to give this star to post but otherwise I definitely wouldn't even give it a one star

Came instantly , loved how it fit and looked! Thank you so much, she will be a piece to our family theme 'good cops, bad guys' costume this year.
