If you need outdoors, keep looking.
I am disappointed. 3 months in I already had to have battery replaced. Was told not to overcharge and now have to what panic if I charge for more than 8 hours. I should be able to leave it charging whenever not in use instead of somehow magically knowing when it's fully charged just the right amount. On top of that, it's advertised "solid performance indoors and out". I only need outdoors and that's why I chose it. After purchase, I'm told but.. but... but... But no slopes. But no stop and go. But no changing speed all the time. Are they kididng me? Have they ever been out of doors? Outdoors is not even terrain, one has to stop and go waiting for traffic to clear at intersections or cars backing out of their driveway and, of course, you have to change speed to slow down when you go inside a store vs. outside. I have to dangerously drive in the street because it cannot handle curbs or my village's shabby sidewalks. It also does not go at its stated 4mph even on a fully charged battery and the joystick is far too sensitive. Be careful using that! You'll get the hang of its sensitivity but until you do -- that's more than a bit dangerous.

OK with some issues
I bought this power chair from a Pride dealer and paid a lot more than this price, like over twice as much. The power chair works good inside a building, but has difficulty going up most ADA curb cuts due to its rigid frame. When at the top of a curb cut, one of the drive wheels lose contact and the other drive wheel spins the rear of the powerchair around. The same is for gaps in pavement or sunken concrete. To be fair, any power chair without a rocking arm connecting the rear wheels will exhibit this behavior. Also, the hard rubber drive wheels lose traction and can spin on a concrete slope due to traction loss. Other issues include a brick sized charger on the floor instead of built into the chair for access and recharging, the bucket like seat gets hot and confining, a cloth seat is not an option. The Jazzy does seem to be built more rigid than other similar models and is likely to last longer than other models. My wife has had a Jazzy Mini for 12 years - wish I had one of those models.

The joy stick handleing is very sloppy
Got ours from scooter store. The joy stick handleing is very sloppy, compared to a different brand my wife had before this. Joy stick and first batteries didn't last 6 months. The first charger didn't last 4 months. Gets hopelessly high centered if either drive wheel drops in the 2 inch deep holes my toy Chihuahua digs in the lawn.will not negotiate any uneven surface, curb,or gutter with more than2-3 inch height difference, especially if there is any incline at all. We were told to never get it wet, any moisture or liquid in the joystick-speed control area will definitely be drawn under the knob and cause the contacts under the power button to corrode and cause serious problems with charging, speed, power, and range of the chair. On the other hand, performs quite well if kept inside the house. Though the steering is a little sloppy, it has a much tighter turn radius than her other chair, and easily gets into places her old one never could. The sloppy steering also causes a little delay between trying to stop, and the wheels actually stopping, that can cause a minor collision until you get used to it.
