Yes it does, but as I use it almost always to cook scrambled eggs (which it is good for) I suggest you check other responses re poached eggs.

Q: Does this come with easy to follow guides for scrambled egg ?

Mine came with a single A5 sheet "cooking guide" which was for higher power microwaves than mine, but ignore that and experiment. It'll only takes couple of goes to get the idea. Wipe inside with a bit of butter, whisk an egg or 2 with a bit of cream and seasoning, try a minute on full power, stir with a fork, and see how it looks. :)

Go for a minute, take it out and stir the egg(s) with a fork, if too runny try extra 10 second bursts until you get the consistency you like. It take 2 or 3 tries to work out how long you need.

Q: Can this also be used to poach eggs in a sauce pan of hot water?

I would think this is possible, although I haven't tried it. I suggest you put a small amount of water in the pot as well (quarter fill maybe?), and warm in the pan without letting it boil. That would leave space for 1 or 2 eggs. You could tip out through a wide slotted spoon after cooking. Interesting idea! Please let us know how you get on, and I'll try it too.
