Must have for pet odors & serious restoration
The media could not be loaded. We’re finishing our basement after using it as the cat’s litter box room for a year. Needless to say it needed major cleaning + primer. Before painting the floors & walls we used this Killz primer ALL over & are doing the walls next - this stuff did the job! No odor, no stains, crazy coverage. We did two coats to be safe but odor was gone with just one. 5 gallons went a LONG WAY. 10/10 recommend - worth every penny & will restore the surface like NEW. This is for the nastiest of jobs.

By far the best on the market!
By absolute far the best restoration paint on the market today. Goes on easily and quickly with the least amount of mess for a not so thick paint. Roller or brush and it's a piece of cake to apply. We bought an old farmhouse from 1875 and the people who had owned it prior to us rented it out and NEVER took care of it after tenants moved out. It reeked of cat, dog and human waste like you cannot even imagine. It literally sucked the air out of your lungs it was that bad. One room was full of human waste because the owner hadn't fixed the toilet and the tenants used that room as their toilet I guess. The heating system is obviously very old in this house too which added to smell with the burnt urine. We literally applied one coat of RESTORATION ( Do not waste your money on the other KILZ if it's really bad, buy this one ) and the smell is gone. We put it on the floor, walls window frames and everywhere else to get rid of the smell. 3 gallons and we had 4 bedrooms, 2 landings, one bathroom, 1 kitchen and one living room painted. With 2 coats. It even goes over the top of varnish with minimal seeping through. Top coat goes on easily. House looks brand new now. Glad that's over. Oh and one more thing. For a paint that hides disgusting smells the paint really had no lingering smell to offend you or irritate sensitive noses like I have. BEST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!

Killed old dog pee
This worked great for the mess we bought to remodel. This room had, had dogs locked in it and the wood floors were absolutely ruined. We tore out the wood floor and Kilz'd the sub floor (that also had pee odor damage) before putting down new sub floor. This went on easy with a roller and coverage was good with no serious odor. Not sure of the dry time, as I left after doing all the floors in the house, as all rooms had some dog pee damage. I think I used 3 gallons on a 750 sq ft house, doing 2 coats just to make sure we got it all.

Did the job!
I was replacing old carpet with LVP. There were several areas that had some "pet damage". Once we ripped out the carpet, we realized the damage to the subfloor was more severe than we thought. We cleaned it several times with vinegar, bleach, and enzyme cleaner to no avail. I didn't want to replace the subfloor if I didn't have to considering the price of plywood these days.I bought a can of Kilz Restoration Primer and applied one coat. The next day, the smell was GONE!All for less than a 4x8 sheet of plywood! It has been 2 months, and there is absolutely no odor!LOVE THIS STUFF!

Can help remove major nicotine odor.
We needed this for our apartment since our former tenants violated the rental agreement, rolled cheap cigarettes and heavily smoked inside the unit. A restoration company quoted us $8K to remove most of the nicotine smell. We used this just to see if we couldn't shave off some of that 8k since we knew the tenants would never pay up. It does work, per se, with multiple coats. The smell has been lifted 80-85%. We painted just about every surface, walls (after stripping wall paper), cabinets, ceilings, countertops and inside every closet etc. Our apartment is 1200sqft and we used a staggering 12 gallons (2x 5 gallon buckets), which was still more cost effective than the restoration company, but depending on your needs, it might reduce heavy odor and it will block stains. The nice thing is it dries to a bright white and is a sealer in one. So the ceilings were not repainted and cost saved us from using a restoration company.

Good Product, Bad Coverage
Works well. Got less than 200 sq ft out of one gallon and my paint gun, though. Paid almost $50. Isn’t really put on too thick, either. Did the heavily soiled areas. Going to buy 5 gallons of Kilz 2 for $97 and try doing the rest of the house with it.
