Shockingly good experience! Used it in the house in our larger sized wood burning fireplace (old stone house built in 1730ish) so it felt at home in there. Was great to be able to do single bowl batches of popcorn for ourselves and change up the seasonings.Easy to open, the wood handle on top made it easy. Turn over the bottom into a large bowl and you are good to go.Tip- you want to do that somewhat quickly after removing from the fire and you aren’t shaking it around- the pan does hold heat and you will get some dark ones if you leave it sit too long.Search for Flavasol and coconut oil here on Amz for the full movie theater flavor at home. Though I also used some cracked black pepper, thyme and salt and that was solid too.I used a potholder to pop open the latch on the side right after the corn was finishing popping but the unit cooled relatively quickly after emptying.Definitely would recommend.

There’s nothing wrong with this popper, it is high-quality and well-made. But I just wanted to point out that it is very small.Sometimes it’s hard to tell in pictures. I thought this was the standard long handled one with a large pan. This one is very small, and probably makes enough popcorn for only two people.

This is a small, thin, poorly made product and I had it shipped to a friends house in the US… with a one month return window so I’m stuck with this… would NOT reccomend.

It cooks popcorn beautifully. Enough for 1-2 people in a few minutes. We added an additional T of butter and it was so tasty. I would love to give this a 5 star rating! The popcorn was best with a lower heat, which required patience but was wonderfully toasty in a unique way.I have two serious concerns... The metal is far too thin. If this thing gets stepped on or sat on, it will be flattened. Second issue, the powder coat finish is a joke. It started coming off on the first use. That type of finish is totally inadequate for the intended purpose. That is, shaking it on top of a fire/grill.I was assuming we were ordering something made of "black" steel or with a durable high heat enamel finish. That's just not the case. Sad face. I would have expected this level of quality from something half the price.

I’ve tried a few different baskets for popcorn for fire popping; this is the best. A quick spray of oil, some popcorn and you will have three to four servings.

The item didnt not arrive well packaged. Had a couple of minor scratches that can be overlooked. The wooden handle came right off. Again easy fix i poured glue and reattached but for the price I shouldn't have to.
