Good size for d17 civic. 5 bolt housing didnt line up
Edit to original review. Ive been running this turbo daily for 3 months, just shy of 5k miles and love it. When replacing my burned up maxpeeding rods TURDo I also bought a banjo bolt to connect oil feed line directly to housing. Unfortunately oil did not feed through said banjo properly and after a couple of miles this thing was HOT, I was almost certain I smoked it. Nooope not this little mf'er. Made up a new oil feed line and this thing has been building boost with no problems. Sounds good, spools fast, and the size is much more manageable in a tight engine bay. The pictures are a side by side comparison of this turbo t3t4 t04e .48 trim (still has red caps) and my last turbo t3t4 t04e .63 trim. As you can see the compressor housing is much smaller and this thing fits with alot less hassle then the .63 did. It sounds amazing id guess twice as loud as my old one and spools up some pressure around 2k rpm in my 1.7 liter civic. The .63 trim wouldnt spool until after 3k and 8psi at 3400 thats why i went to the .48 and im so glad i did. Time will tell how long it will last ive been running it a week with no problems.

Superb excellent
Bought this turbo and was kinda worried what to expect buy it turns out to be superb I am gone well over 2000miles on it and it's holding really firm. Good buy just an update my car dyno and made 338hp with this turbo and its still holding firm and strong

Blew up after 1 pull
I spent multiple weeks working on putting this into my car spending butt loads of money just for it to blow up on my test drive. Do not buy this. You’ll save more in the end getting something with better quality

Shaft/bearings = YIKES
These turbos are good, they are what they are listed as, and perform as you would expect for their application size(s).I will say that the nut securing the turbine shaft CAME LOOSE during operation! The nut was basically spun almost all the way off, during operation after maybe 300+ miles of operation combined daily driving, and boosting. Not sure if this caused the second issue, but the shaft basically became warped/bent, and the turbine blades would scrape on the sides of the housing.I had this same issue happen with another cheap turbo kit ordered here on amazon, except the nut did not come loose on that one, just the bent shaft issue... Mechanic thinks it's due to cheap/bad bearings on the shaft. If I were to order another one in the future, he would recommend getting a bearing/upgrade kit right off the bat and swap them out.FYI this was with using the right oil restrictor in the oil feed.Under both instances, NO oil was being burnt or thrown exhaust side. In the case with this turbo, after about another 50 miles driving with a bent shaft, oil did start coming out the intake side.Just beware that you will likely want to be upgrading the internals on these "cheap" turbos if you are in the market for this, and factor that into your budget.

Ripper
Lasted almost 2 years (march 30th 2021) on my Miata at19psi just started making a funny noise think the seals died and the barring went out or something. but I just ordered another here's to 2 more years 🤞🏻🤘🏻

Great turbo for honda
Wanted to use the turbo for a little bit before writing a review.Over all the turbo is doing great. No bearing play lateral or vertical. All tho I'm not pushing the turbo hard it's only seen 8psi waste gate pressure so far.Installed on a h23a prelude. The pics are for the .48 trim turbo. I couldn't find actually demensions for outlet so I thought I would post them for everybody. One thing to know with this turbo is it didn't have the waste gate vacuum line on the compressor side. At least mine didn't have one. So you might have to drill and tap for one.But for the money you can't beat it and really it was to test fit and lite tune till I upgraded to a better turbo

Great
I love this turbo to the max the quality is strong it spools up at 2.5 to 3.0 rpm my only thing is I wish it would come with a manual telling what is the recommended restrictor size for the oil feed because this is my first turbo charger installation

Worked great for a week, then seals went out
Awesome great working turbo for few weeks. Looking for replacement or refund, within a month turbo went out. Shaft has side to side play and blowing oil out. No oil restrictor as recommended above.
