SchwarzkopfEssence Ultime Biotin Volume Shampoo, 13.6 Ounces

This is one of the rare shampoos that breathes some life into my baby fine, smooth and flat hair. It's not one of those bogus extra body shampoos that does nothing. This one definitely raises the cuticle a bit so that the hairs sit away from one another, adding overall lift. I can clearly feel the added texture as I rinse. I instant-condition my hair after shampooing, and it still maintains the extra texture. The proof is there when it dries a little fluffier. It doesn't hang as heavy/flat.On top of that, I love the scent! It has a rather strong perfumy scent, and I usually get headaches from strong perfumes, but this just leaves a slight scent in the hair after rinsing, and it is an extremely pleasant scent imo.The price fluctuates on this quite a bit, but even at the lowest I've seen, it's still not your average drugstore shampoo price. So I use inexpensive shampoos for everyday use, and this is my 'special treat' shampoo when I want to look and smell especially nice. I just can't rationalize spending the higher-end price of this shampoo for full-time use.

Our local grocery store used to carry this and I bought it because it was reasonably priced AND on sale. I am generally not very loyal to shampoos, I try anything that looks decent and isn't a fortune; but usually the products are mediocre...you get what you pay for. Not this time though -- this shampoo lathers well and has a good smell, but most importantly, it leaves my hair feeling *softer* than anything else, including conditioner. (I don't use conditioner when I use this because it's unnecessary; and I haven't tried the Schwarzkopf conditioner at all.)Unfortunately my grocery store stopped carrying it, and now I have to purchase it online...the only thing I don't like about it.I do alternate this with other shampoos, for cost reasons -- not that $10 is that much but I just have a habit of spending less. I can ALWAYS tell a difference when I use this shampoo though. (Like today -- it's a soft hair day!! :) )

I don't normally have much faith in cosmetics etc that claim to work wonders. I have very thin hair with my fair share of balding spots. I can honestly say this shampoo works great. On my first use I noticed a difference in my hair. For the first time in years I was able to comb my hairout after setting it without having to spend ages rearranging it to cover thin or balding spots. It's the first time I've bought a shampoo for thinning hair that actually works. Try it as I don't think you will be disappointed. For the low price it is a nice smelling shampoo.

I bought this for my Mother, she believes it gives her the most VOLUME out of all shampoos she's tried with no itchy head or feel of residue. I noticed the price has gone up on it since my first purchase. May need to get another volume shampoo brand from my professional beauty store.

This works well, it is the best replacement for the discontinued Umberto dry shampoo. I wish it came in Unscented, though. The smell is very overpowering.

My Mom likes to use this for her hair because it makes it very shiny. She actually gets compliments when she is out from other people. She is 86 and goes to the beauty shop every week to get her hair done. She brings this shampoo and the matching conditioner with her so they use this on her hair. She swears by this shampoo & conditioner.

Since I switched to Schwarzkopf hair color, which I loved, I thought that sticking with the same hair product line for shampoo and conditioner, would be a good idea. Both the shampoo and conditioner is okay to use maybe right after coloring your hair, but not for subsequent shampooing/conditioning. The reason being, is that it leaves a residue on your hair, leaving your hair with a peculiar texture, and weighs it down.I think this product may be a non sulfide product. You can't use products like this continuously, because it does build up and clogs the hair follicles.I will still use this conditioner and shampoo for the first washing after coloring, but not on a regular basis. I had hoped for better results since Schwarzkopf has been a salon only product line before.

Best shampoo I’ve ever used! First bought it at a grocery store until they stopped selling it. Then bought it online. I would pay just about anything for this. Lathers up like no other shampoo I’ve used. And the scent is amazing!!
