fine as a quick guide
We selected this guide for download to the Kindle for portability. It is reliable and reasonably up to date for travelers to the eastern half of Australia: we used it along with the web to visit Sydney, Ayers Rock, Port Douglas, and Melbourne. It's selective, not exhaustive, useful for those with limited time who want to catch the best experiences. The maps are not large in the Kindle version but it's easy to get street maps elsewhere. Suitable for both high-end travelers and backpackers. Very helpful with getting around information on travel to/from airports.

Compact, straight to the point
This book is a compact guide to all of Australia and makes it easy to sort out the information. It lists accommodations and restaurants by ratings and prices but only lists a few to make reading the information quick and easy. If you want color pictures and more fluff, do not buy this guide. For thorough and concise information, this guide is perfect!

A Really good Book
I bought this for my daughter for her trip to Australia....and she loves it. There is a lot of information on what things to do, and it also breaks down places, prices, and recommended things to do, which was helpful for her since she has never been there before. She is currently on her trip, and she says the book is still being used, because there is so much detail to help guide her through all of her excursions. I would recommend this book!!

You get what you pay for
It's good for what it covers, and the price was reasonable. It doesn't cover the areas that are less traveled. Then again, it's just supposed to be an "Easy Guide"!

Great primer
This EasyGuide was the perfect primer for my two-week trip to Australia. I knew VERY little about the country/continent and had no idea where to start with trip planning. I used this book to get my bearings, and then used the Lonely Planet Australia book to fine tune my travel plans.

left out a lot of stuff
While I found Frommer's excellent for New York and San Francisco, I found that a lot of cool things were left out of this book for Australia. Had to supplement with other books which is what I wanted to avoid.
