A very easy to read, enjoyable guide! I found the insights to business culture to be especially useful. The book includes not only culture and customs, but also a brief history of the country from the glory days of the Angkor empire, the tragic genocide of the 70's, as well as some recent political history. (The book was published in 2008 though, so it isn't the most up to date source!) Moreover, the chapter on making friends and adjusting to life was also interesting as it offered some ideas on building social circles with both expats and locals.Overall I enjoyed this book, and recommend it to those who plan to relocate to Cambodia, particularly for business. I gave it four stars simply because I would have enjoyed a more recently published version.

I used this book to further my understanding of Cambodia and its culture. It is a bit old but the nature of this background has little impact and it is still relevant today.

Another well written book and should accompany the book entitled"The Rough Guide to Southeast Asia On A Budget". You'll be amazed at the cultural differences.
