It looks beautiful and sounds wonderful
I got this for my daughter. She loves it. It is a high quality student violin for beginners. It looks beautiful and sounds wonderful. Although a string snapped in tuning and we put on the extra string and it snapped soon after, so low quality strings.

Caution required
Violin looked nice, good carry case. Bridge was too high and had no notches for strings. I had to take it to my local music shop to have it fixed. After tightening the strings the string holder snapped.Local music store fixed it for me free of charge and said the ebony was of poor quality which is typical of Internet purchases. My local store will have any future business.

Bought for my 6yo. Because of a review on YouTube I was afraid it could be too heavy. It is not. My little one has no problem with it and loves the sound. I'd buy it again.

Perfect for my daughter to begin learning
Perfect for my daughter to begin learning. Its so small that its hard to keep tuned etc but it works well for the beginner and has everything you need except the shoulder rest.

Chinese violins
These cheap Chinese made violins look OK opening the box, but they're strictly beginner's material. My daughters needed to upgrade after 1 year, and the supposedly higher-grade models are absolutely no better. The other reviews I read here look suspicious -- seller or manufacturer padding??Take your chances on one of these if you want, but read the return policy VERY carefully.

For $120, I'm pretty happy
My violin came with it's strings and brige out of place, but I decided not to return it because it's something I could have someone set up for me.I went to the store and had to pay an additional $48 on new strings (the ones that come with it are cheap) and also the set up of the bridge & tuning. It very pretty and shiny, not amazing like a more high quality violin, but I am pretty happy with it.
