You can have both 120hz and FreeSync, but you cant have them together. If you want FreeSync it will only be from 48hz to 60hz since HDMI is the limiting factor, had they gone with a mini display port/display port, the only limit would have been the refresh rate of 120hz. And as far as the refresh rate of 120hz goes, it is indeed a valid refresh rate, the screen will run at 120hz over HDMI. But for them to throw the two together in the advertisement and say nowhere in there that they can't be used together even though it says---[Fast Refresh] 120Hz Refresh Rate And AMD FreeSync Technology To Eliminate Screen Tearing And Choppy Frame Rates，Translates High Frame Rates Into A Level Of Smoothness And Responsiveness You Need---You pick, do you want the 120hz with screen tearing when you go under 120fps or the FreeSync @ 60hz max---I returned this once I figured out you couldnt have both at the same time even though that quote from above leads me to believe that they are running them both at the same time to achieve "High Frame Rates" and "A level of Smoothness".

First of all, I really loved this monitor. Its perfect for gaming - Top quality resolution of 2K which is more than enough. I owe PS4 which would take to my friend’s or coffee shop and just connect and play. I used this monitor as vertically supposed to be for my programming purpose - Great at my workplace. I would recommend to buy this as it has better picture quality too. Although the volume isn’t sound enough. But, definitely worth every penny.

I got two of these to flank my main monitor in portrait mode, and they work great. They're a little wonky when viewed off-angle but I don't regret my purchase at all

I travel for business. I like using two monitors since it makes me more productive. I wanted a large monitor at a good price point. This monitor mostly checks the boxes. Yes, the brightness is not as bright as I like (it is as bright as my old LCD monitor and the other reviews are accurate). Yes, the instructions could be better. Yes, the case could be better. However, I knew what I was getting and this monitor fills the need.

Good for the price and the screen size (17.3"). Has definitely helped boost my productivity. Although the sound system has scope for improvement, hence 4 stars.Would recommend buying.

So it's great for my ps4, doesn't want to connect with my Alienware laptop though, the viewing angles aren't great but I definitely am happy with the purchase...Maybe I am doing something wrong or need a driver or something for my laptop but that's why it's only getting 3 stars...
