Terrific selection of the great man's songs. We loved its selection and sound

Nice collection of live recordings currently being offered at a bargain price. However I would advise buyers to check disc one carefully. I have bought two of these sets and in both cases there was a fault. Track five ‘The Master Song’ would not play without skipping. The live show in question (a BBC recording from 1968) is available elsewhere, including the recently released ‘You Know Who I Am’ which also includes a nice session for John Peel as well as some spoken word recordings. It grieves me to only give this three stars but I thought it necessary in order to draw prospective purchasers attention to the possible failings of the issuing company’s quality control standards. This is the second review I have submitted for this set pointing out out the manufacturing problem. For some reason the first one wasn’t published. I’m hoping this was nothing more than an oversight

Great concerts

A superb 4 cd set of Leonard Cohen live shows from various venues, includes the Austin City Limits concert in 1988 and the Montreux Jazz Festival gig from 1975. Its topped off with his BBC sesions from 1967/68.

Might be helpful to list the actual jewel box titles as received July 2020, to compare with what you might already have in your collection:: 1. THE LOST SESSIONS - includes the 31 August and 09 September 1968 London sessions at the Paris Theater, plus the 3 tracks from the Julie Felix show. FWIW my disk plays fine, no problems in track 5. 2019 date on the packaging, LFMCD611 Proofreading error on the back of the box with respect to track listing vs dates. 2. ONCE MORE FOR MARIANNE - double disk jewel box of the 1976 Montreux broadcast. 3. AUSTIN CITY LIMITS - 9 tracks from the 1988 broadcast. Glad to see the Little Box available again, may cost you less than buying any one of these disks/sets separately.

Amazing that there are recordings from back then, also its not the little box you would expect these days, but three full blown CD boxes (4 cd's), with even picture discs. A nice surprice. Also amazing that the BBC had a 'resident singer' back then for certain shows, in this case a lady from partly Mexican, Native American and Welsh descent, who went from American immigrant in the UK to 'Britain's First Lady of Folk' in 10 years.

4CDs, die alle Titel enthalten, die der Cohen-Fan kennt, liebt und gern immer wieder in verschiedenen Fssungen hört. Hier in früheren Fassungen, schlichter instrumentiert, aber mit einem Cohen, dessen junge Stimme bereits fasziniert. Kein Muss, aber gut in einer Sammlung zu haben.
