Great Value
This is an excellent wireless doorbell at a great price. It has TWO receivers so it can be heard from anywhere in our home. This system replaces a battery operated doorbell that worked for many years. The transmitter battery wore out and the back was very difficult to open (we broke the plastic attempting to open it). The volume can be adjusted from very loud to soft or even silent with a flashing light at the plug-in receivers. Unlike the previous doorbell, this works every time; no second presses. Setting the ringtone, mode (sound, light or sound and light) and volume is a bit inconvenient unless you have a high outlet where you want to leave the receiver permanently; otherwise you must sit on the floor to repeatedly press buttons. I am disappointed that if the power fails or the receiver is unplugged, those settings are lost; no non-volatile memory. I am concerned that the button battery (CR2032) may have a short life, but that remains to be seen. The only problem that I had was that the transmitter affixed to the wooden door frame with the enclosed adhesive foam fell off in less than 12 hours. Perhaps I did not press hard enough. I have put it back and pressed very hard. I hope that this time it stays in place. Overall, I am very pleased with this doorbell; especially at the price.UPDATE 06/22/2019Pressing hard on the transmitter to help with adhesion was not effective. The transmitter lasted a day, but still fell. I replaced the included foam tape with two 3M Medium Command Strips. The transmitter is solidly affixed to the wood door frame and shows no sign of loosening after six days. Should this fail--and it has no indication of failure--I would use Command Strips to affix the transmitter to the metal fire-resistant door. The reason that doorbells are traditionally attached to the door frame is because they were hard wired to the ringer. There is no reason, other than tradition and expectations, to attach this transmitter to the door frame since it is wireless. Should I have to move it to the metal door, I will further update this review. For now, after changing the adhesive strip, the doorbell is excellent.UPDATE: After almost two months, the ringer button is still firmly affixed to the doorframe with the 3M Command Strips. It is too bad that it was not shipped with a better adhesive strip, but the solution was cheap and easy.

Great doorbell but nowhere near loud as advertised
Very nice and clear sound. NO way it's rated at 130 Db though...not even close. Maybe 85?I say this because 120dB is the "pain threshold" for most humans. Meaning that at max volume, when standing very near, the sound should be PIERCINGLY loud and actually cause discomfort when exposed to it.I purchased this doorbell specifically because I have a large house with a lot of walls in between and needed the sound to be heard clearly from numerous locations.I cycled through all the recordings at the highest volume and ended up going with the very traditional "nutone" sound, as it seemed the loudest.110dB is supposed to be equivalent to a car horn from 3 feet away. Make you jump right out of your skin. This is why I say the 130dB rating is a lie, as in all honesty no sound comes anywhere close to piercing or loud. This is still the loudest doorbell I have purchased, but am sad that it is not as loud as advertised. It should be close to a jet taking off from an aircraft carrier deck or a thunderclap immediately adjacent to you.I want to say that the loudest sound capable of this unit is closer to between Garbage disposal and lawnmower which is in the range of 80 to 90 dB.Knit picking of dB levels aside, here are the pros/consProsComes with 2 "ringers" and 1 button. This is great for each side of the house.Allows synching of one button to many ringers. Each ringer can have a different tone.Came with a batteryConsNOT as loud as advertisedSynching is a bit tricky sometimes and drops its' synch. Timing is everything (ugh)Button doesn't seem sealed; worrysome for rainy area

If you can make it through the awful songs you get a great wireless door bell w/Light & Sound
When we purchased our recently remodeled 60 year old home there wasn't a doorbell, a problem that needed resolved as soon as possible but we had had some special needs: we needed to be able to hear it anywhere in the house, plus both hear & SEE it in a noisy basement workshop. We needed a wireless system that could transmit through thick stone walls, have 2 receivers, and offer both sound and light without breaking the bank. When these showed up as an Amazon Gold Box deal we decided to give them a try. They are almost plug-and-play which is both a blessing and a curse. Setting the first receiver is simple, press the program button on the receiver and ring the doorbell, when it rings you know you are good to go, then go check if it is in range (and hope it doesn't ring your neighbor's door bell) - you can also reprogram it in there is interference from other wireless devices. Setting the second receiver is done the same way, but verifying it is in range takes 2 people, one to ring it at the door and the other to yell through the house (or call on the phone) to let you know it works.Setting the ring tone is also simple but unpleasant, cycling through so many terrible songs, to find something the around similar to a door bell and less a Christmas special.Pros:Easy installPlenty loudGood RangeLight & Sound Ring is good for the hard of hearing or in a loud shopEasy to change frequenciesCons:No mounting hardware for buttonPoor Sound QualitySo many terrible, awful, rotten, no good, very bad ringtones

So far great!
These are amazing. I have the 2 chime set so I can have one upstairs and one downstairs in my house. Both have worked flawlessly for a couple months now. I live in Sask where it gets really cold and so far these have worked through the worst of the winter. The description says -20c is the limit however these have worked right through cold snaps as low as -35c. I expected the battery may need replacing sooner due to the cold but so far so good. We've also had several power outages and the chimes always re-pair fine on their own - I haven't had to touch them.Definitely recommend!* Update - after three straight weeks of - 30c to - 40c weather the push button battery finally cut out. I'm still impressed with the performance. I'm only updating this so people don't expect it to work completely through the winter in really cold areas.

Good range, but a bit wide
PROS:- Good range: I have one receiver in a detached garage behind the house. It's about 120 feet from the front door and the signal is able to pass through the house and my concrete garage walls to the receiver. This fits my intended purpose as I wanted to hear if someone was ringing by doorbell while I was in the garage.- Volume: can be quite loud at the higher volume settings- LED on button lights up when pressed, so people will know it's been pressed and not keep pressing it multiple timesCONS:- Design of the receiver ends up blocking second outlet. I plug the receiver into an outlet tap/splitter to be able to access the second outlet.- Lack of good chimes. There's only about three "normal" chimes, and the rest are seasonal or classic tunes, although very popular and recognizable. I would have preferred some other options like those on any cell phone since 2002...- Button is unnecessarily wide (about 2 inches). If you're attaching it to door trim, it might be wider than the trim.- Button is attached with double sized tape. I drilled a hole in the back so that I could attach it with a screw.- Would have been nice to have a doorbell symbol on the button, to make it more obvious what it does.Overall, I'm happy with it and mention the cons above just in case others may find that it's important to them and can't use my workarounds.

Like it a lot!
I like this. Removed one star because it's a bit bigger than expected and hides the second outlet. But I like the fact that I can carry this to the basement or backyard and do not miss anyone at the door. So far we never had any issues with it - we will see how it performs with Montreal's winter!

I like it. Does the job
I like it. Does the job. The ring tones are poor quality and mostly annoying but whatever, i've got a doorbell now. Really like the fact that I can add the plug in speakers around the house though 2 is fine for me.
