Awesome Stuff
I have been using this product for over 2 years now and i can't recommend it enough. I am one of those people who have a bad habit of cutting towards myself when i work on my miniatures, and after one day with a brand new exacto blade, a little too much force, and a couple stitches afterwards, i found myself gun shy when it came to working on my little dudes again. Then i found this finger wrap. i just wrap up my thumbs and get back to work. I do lay it on a little thick when i wrap up, but a can cut the side a little and remove the wrap like a little thumb protector and i use that for 3-4 days before i essentially make a new thumb armored vest. As a lot of people have said, if you let the wrap lay back on itself like if you are using it like a roll of masking tape, it will stick back to itself pretty tightly and it becomes a pain to try and break it back apart. When i am done wrapping my finger, i take the edge i cut the tape from and lay it toward the little cardboard center wring, it will stick to itself along the side of the roll, but doesn't stick to the cardboard, so you can just keep tearing it off without fear of losing your edge!

Great stuff
This tape works great. I use it for lapidary work, because I like to hold my stones. It makes it easy to hold, and keeps the stone from slipping out of your fingers. WORD OF ADVISE many people seem to write that they have a hard time getting a end lifted so they use it, I advise not to cut it close to the roll after the first finger wrap, take a pen or pencil and stick it to it while wrapping, this will make it easy so you can put it onto the next finger. And when your done stick a little piece of paper or something to the end to make it easy to peel for next use. Because it is a thin and sticky material tape, and some may find it hard to unstick it from its self, especially if you have very short nails, or false nails. Dont blame the tape because you cant get the roll started when everyone knows some tape sticks to its self, this is why scotch tape and packing tape come on a mechanism to make it easy to use.

I use these to wrap my fingers (and sometimes my tools as well) when I am making jewelry. I was introduced to this brand (I had only used vetwrap before) when I was working in a cookie factory where the inserts for the cartons could easily cut and scrape your fingers and I thought it was amazing so I looked it up and found it when I came across similar issues with wear and tear on my hands when working with my jewelry. It sticks to itself great (not your skin) and holds up very well if wrapped properly. Only downside (which can not be avoided so I refuse to give it less stars for the fact) is that the unravels a little (only a LITTLE) at the edges - mostly on the roll, not usually on my fingers. If you have issues with it doing this on your fingers, you can usually easily stick the little edges to the main portion of the wrap to avoid issues or roll the edge slightly, no big deal.

It seemed kind of old. It stuck when I was using it.
Parts of the tape was stuck to the roll.

Okay but.....
I bought this to try to protect my fingers while using my foredom rotary tool. It worked okay the first time but if the wire bush hit it it would transfer the rubber to the surface on my project. The next time i tried to use it i was unable to unroll it. The end of the roll was impossible to find. I tried for way too long to unroll to use it. I ended up throwing it in anger. If you do use this put something on the end when you use it so that it does not adhere to the unused portion.

Great idea; not very well made
I bought this to wrap around and protect my fingertips while using water-cooled power equipment to grind & polish rocks and minerals. What everyone says about finding the end of the roll is indeed a problem. The gauze is thin & weak, and the latex makes it stick to the roll excessively when you are trying to unroll it. Because of the weakness, it tore off the roll without me trying to tear it. In order to get more off the roll, I had to cut through the outside of the roll with a knife, and then it would only come off several layers at a time - which made it so thick and stiff that it wouldn't stick to itself again when I tried to wrap it around my fingers. I finally put a few layers of masking tape around it to hold it on my fingers.Surely there is a way to make this stuff that actually peels off the roll cleanly and then sticks to itself again when you wrap it around your fingers!?

Great for wrapping fingers when playing tennis.
Love that this tape doesn't stick to your skin. In the winter, my fingers crack, especially now with all the hand washing and sanitizer, and I use this tape to wrap my fingers to stop them from cracking. Tape is flexible and stays on until I cut it off.

Use leather guard instead
Would be better if wider.
