Although this is billed as an epilator, it's really more of a shaver, just a sweet and girly one that makes you feel less like you're "shaving." An epilator is supposed to be removing hair -- as in yanking it out from the root -- not just cutting it off. I've been using one for years and it worked great, except using it on my upper lip was absolute agony. That's why I was thrilled to discover this "painless" one, and disappointed that it wasn't really an epilator. On the other hand, I can use it on my upper lip with no pain at all, which is a relief. I'll probably keep using my old hair-yanker on my chin and use this one on the lip, hoping that it doesn't produce the dreaded mustache shadow. So far so good.

I bought this handy shaver for my elderly Mother who is now able to shave her chin so she feels presentable. It takes only one AA battery and is easy to begin shaving with a laser light that helps to catch any stray hairs. When the first one arrived damaged, the company immediately replaced it at no cost. Companies with this kind of decency are few these days! It's easy to recommend them and this handy, portable shaver.

I bought this for stubborn chin hairs and upper lip when I didn’t have time to wax or pluck. I don’t think this is very powerful. I have to go over the same place several times for it to get the one hair I can see. Every time I turn it off I turn the knob too far and the bottom pops off and battery falls out. I should have returned it but it will be nice for travel I guess.

I like this better than what I had been using. When I first turned it on my initial thought was it sounded too low power to work but out really does a great job. It's nice that it goes with the curves on your chin to allow for best coverage. This works great for the fuzzies and the stubborn darker ones that sometimes pop up. Great product.

First, let's be clear... this is a shaver, not a depilator - which is fine, but it is not an implement that pulls hair up from the roots. I replaced an old Braun depilator which definitely pulled hair up from the roots (and hurt!) so I know the difference. This product is a shaver, and that's fine - it worked well until it stopped working. I found this product unreliable, even as I changed batteries a couple of times during the year that I used it, but it would often not work at all and I've finally replaced it with a drugstore brand that so far, reliably turns on and cost less.

I'm extremely impressed! I've always waxed my lip and chin but waxing hurts, it's messy, it can get pricey and time consuming, and it ALWAYS breaks out my upper lip. This epilator works like a dream. No pain or negative reaction (even for my sensitive skin), easy to clean, fits in my purse, and doesn't grow back as stubble like a razor would do. I'm so glad I bought this.

This epilator has a good weighted feel in your hand. I like the light on it which makes it easy to see where I'm shaving. It doesn't completely shave your hair so it's not as close as a wax but it's good enough. My peach fuzz makes it difficult to apply liquid foundation smoothly. It went on a lot smoother after using my Tweezer Guru. I've used the the pen style shavers and they don't seem to get as close and it's not easy too get the right angle to see if the blade is actually next to my skin. The round head makes it super simple to tell what I'm shaving.
