Quite large but gel so not too hard to swallow
I think that these are about as large as a gel capsule comes and if they were tablets we'd be calling them horse pills but since they are soft gels they aren't actually as difficult to swallow as you might first think. I found then easy enough to swallow, so that's good. There's a bit of an odour but they are tasteless. 100 in the tub at one a day will last over 3 months so plenty to see if they work for you but you can take them twice a day so they would only last half as long if you did that. They are supposed to be good for the time of the month but I don't bother with all that anymore, I want them for the night sweats. The reason I have deducted a star is because these ones do seem to be quite expensive and I think that for most people this would be off-putting unless you know that they actually work for you and you can't put a price on that. Supplements are definitely a your mileage may vary kind of thing in that what works for one might not work for another. All I can say is that every day I've taken them I haven't woken up to throw the covers off and then again freezing cold to put them back on.

Quality but at time of review expensive
I have found Swanson to be quality products and this is no exception. It's great to see an Evening Primrose Oil capsule that delivers a high amount of GLA. But at the time of writing this review Amazon's price for these is expensive, considerably more than buying direct from Swanson at retail price.I have been taking high dose EPO for many years now. My usual brand is Quest 1000mg as this delivers 10% GLA whereas all other EPO supplements are usually 9%. Swansons is the usual 9% but because their capsules are 1300mg it actually contains more GLA than my 1000mg Quest capsule. So this is very good selling point. They are however more expensive. The capsules are slightly larger than normal 1000mg, which stands to reason as there is more oil in the capsule. But they are still easy enough for me to swallow. If you struggle to swallow tablets you may struggle but they are in smooth capsule that goes quite slippy when you swill water around it.I'd consider these as an alternative to my usual Quest if I could find them for a good price around eighteen pounds and not the thirty four being quoted today. I did check Swanson's site whilst they are good quality there's no further selling points like being organic etc.

Very Good But.......
We have tested a great many different Swanson products for the Vine programme and very few of them have offered value in terms of price. This product is not an exception. At the time of review, it offers poor value when compared to its competitors. What you can be sure of it does offer exactly what it says it does, 1300mg of EPO. My wife uses EPO for that time of the month and she swears it helps her. EPO is an Omega 6 oil and needs to be high in GLA for it to do any good. This particular tablet has high GLA content. The problem is it can be beaten on price by its competitors. Overall this is a great product, it works, but it just does not offer great value. Recommended, but not at the current listed price of £30.00.

These work but they are overpriced and the capsules are huge
I have been taking evening primrose oil for my dry skin and eczema for years and find it very beneficial. This seems to be a fairly standard bottle of evening primrose oil capsules. I didn't find the capsules too difficult to take but they are very large so I would avoid them if you struggle with taking pills. They do have quite a hard coating. I realise some people may not like this but I find the capsules with the squidgy/sticky shells tend to get stuck in my throat so I prefer a harder coating. The capsules don't really have any taste. I do think these are overpriced as I can't work out what makes this bottle cost so much more than the brands sold in Boots or Holland and Barrett.

50 Servings of Concentrated Evening Primrose Oil
I've taken Evening Primrose Oil in the past to help with problematic skin/acne which I had pretty good success for and along those lines it can help with easing eczema, too, but can also be good for helping with issues such as high blood pressure and improving overall heart health and is a good source of omega-6 fatty acid .If you're not sure if this is right for you to supplement with or not then do your research properly first or consult a professional/nutritionist if unsure. If you're already confident about the benefits and know it's the right supplement for you then the 100 capsules if taken at the recommended two a day will provide 50 servings.

Primrose supplement
I gave this primrose supplement to a friend who has eczema and after 3 weeks she can see a slight improvement however it’s more realistic to notice results after 2-3 month as changes to the skin take their time unfortunately. My friend finds this supplement easy enough to swallow however the capsules are rather big. A bit on the pricey side as well however I trust the brand as we have a few different supplements from them. This supplement may help with different things like:improve skin conditions like acne and eczema.relieve PMS symptoms and minimise breast painReduces hot flashes.reduce high blood pressure and improve heart health in general.

High strength 1.3g per capsule but pricey
SWANSON supplements appear to be good quality. These Evening Primrose capsules are on the big side but they are soft gels which I found easy to swallow. These capsules are high strength at 1.3g (recommended dose is 2 per day). This is higher strength than capsules I’ve had in the past. These capsules are currently on sale for £34 at present for 100 which should last about 6 weeks so quite pricey.I do like taking omegas which are plant based (rather than fish based) however the capsules are made of gelatin making these unsuitable for vegetarians.Happy to recommend regarding quality but I would hesitate buying due to the price.
