Kizumonogatari Part 3 Reiketsu Blu-ray

Really great film, with one terrible scene dragging it down.
Part 3 of Kizumonogatari (Cold Blood) should be the best of the bunch. This is the movie with the best character development scenes, the best single fight, and the place where all the thematic significance comes to bear. But it has one massive flaw holding me back from being able to fully recommend it.To start with some very minor spoilers, Araragi has managed to get back all of Heart-Under-Blades body parts. The two spend some time bonding, but then the truth of the situation finally manifests itself: Heart-Under-Blade is still a vampire, and vampires eat humans. Araragi has no choice but to take responsibility for what he has done, and the final boss fight begins. To start with the good, EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH HEART-UNDER-BLADE VS. ARARAGI. It is, without doubt, the best fight to come out of anime in a decade. Shaft's animation is on point, and they take full advantage of both characters broken healing factors to show some stunning visuals. On top of that, the heartfelt dialogue at the end of the movie proves that this is serious literature on par with Frankenstein, not simple pulp violence. However, there is one problem. Now, I'm not one to complain too much about fan service and sex in entertainment. I've thought that most of the Monogatari series may be risque, but it doesn't detract from it's strong characters and thrilling plot. But there is a lewd scene with Hanekawa in this movie that I can in no way defend. It's over the top, it makes the characters unlikable without making them more interesting, and it's a waste of time. I have taken a star off for that alone, and I'm glad the rest of the series stayed away from going there again.

A Japanese Film Student's Project on their High School Vampire Fantasy Part 3
A poor end to an interesting project. I feel the creator did an injustice in languishing in gray noncommittal areas instead of offering a proper, difficult resolution. Also problematic is whatshisface's (the main character's) complete and unforgivable ignorance (read stupidity) at his revelation that *vampire's eat people*.

As the finale to the Kizumonogatari saga, it does a fantastic job.
In my opinion this is probably the best anime film trilogy released, and this final part closes out the remainder of the story while also exploring different concepts from the previous two and it ends off with an epic finale.

Finally my journey has come to the beginning of the end of the beginning
If you’re here and have watched Monogatari in its entirety up this point: sit back, relax, your journey has begun to end. This was a real treat after finding and watching all of the other series’ parts.

Great anime from one of the best Japanese writers today
Kizumonogatari is one of best surreal, eccentric anime films available. It serves as a prequel to the rest of the Monogatari series. It is very Japanese and very clever although a lot of the series cleverness is lost in translation. It's easy to see why normies who are really only familiar with Cowboy Bebop and NGE (great shows but easy for westerners to digest) would get lost with this film and the rest of the series. Also people need to lighten up about fan service, we live in a time where Game of Thrones has been the most talked about and watched show in recent years.

great animation, great story
The 3 Kizumonogatari are my favorites of the Monogatari series, as they have a nicer resolution, animation, audio, and overall execution of OVA's. I definitely suggest watching all three. I watched the threee Kizumonogatari before the series because its set before the anime series, but was released very late as a story from the author and then animated later than the anime, as I understand it as well. They explain Araragi's character development and his relationship with Himekawa.

wish there was part 4
The movie came to an end way to quick! The plot line in my opinion was very interesting.

Damn close to being a masterpiece.
Loved this movie. My only complaint is that I wish they extended the final fight a bit. I feel like it a was a bit too short. Other than that, 10/10
