I have tried several of these to use with my CPAP. The first one came from my CPAP supplier. It only lasted four nights before it self-destructed. I bought two others from Amazon. The second one worked well but after a few months, little pieces about the size of a pin head started coming off. I woke up one morning with a very bloodshot eye!! I had a piece in my eye reacting with my tears; very scary!!! This strap is much more comfortable, lighter, and breaths. It seems to be very durable! It works very well in keeping my mouth closed comfortably! The only problem with this strap is that it is very small. It came with one extension, but it needs two to fit an adult head; especially over CPAP mask. I bought some Velcro from a craft store and fashioned a second extension to make the make work for me.

As a former sleep tech with seven years experience performing thousands of sleep studies and CPAP titrations, I have to say this is the beat chinstrap I’ve ever encountered. I use it for myself with my CPAP machine. It’s light, flexible, durable, and easily applied and adjusted. Above all else, it’s comfortable and breathes well. I never wake up itchy or sweaty with it. The statements by the reviewer who said the seams are burned to seal them shut are absolute nonsense. The material is finely stitched on both side so that the parts that touch your skin are nice and smooth. Please see my pictures. Anyone who needs a chinstrap to stop air leak from their mouth with CPAP, look no further. Your mask will fit right over this strap just fine. Please do NOT use this or anything like it to try and stop snoring without wearing a PAP device. A snorer’s mouth opens as an unconscious reflex to try and get more air in because sleep apnea causes a reduction or cessation of airflow into the body. Strapping your mouth shut without wearing a PAP device will only SUFFOCATE you!

It doesn't work.

I had high hopes for this product. But I had to return it. I found it to be way too small for me. I took a chance because in the answers to customer questions it was said that this strap doesn't run small. I wear a 7 5/8 hat, I'm not over-weight and I don't have a particularly large neck (no double chin). But this strap still was very uncomfortable. It cut deeply into my cheeks, chin and especially my scalp. I only used it for two days, by then I had two sore spots on across the top of my head where the elastic in the straps cut off circulation in my scalp. It remained tender for a couple of days after I stopped using it. It's a well-made product and the attachment points are a type of velcro I haven't seen before. But they work great. Because it's small on me I had to pull them tight, and the velcro held very well. If you wear one of the smaller hat sizes or you're a woman this is a good choice.

I needed a chin strap to help with my new CPAP, and this one fit the bill. I am a hot sleeper, but this strap is made of a very breathable & comfortable fabric, and is easy to sleep in. I have a slightly larger than average head & the strap fit well - I didn't need to use the extension strap that came with it. Unfortunately, when I get the strap tight enough to work (and as I said it works well & is comfortable), when I wake up I am left with marks on my face from the edges of the strap. The marks last quite a long time (sometimes all day), so I couldn't give it 5 stars. Still a good strap if you're okay with slight impressions on your face in the morning.

UPDATE: Even though this product stretched out immediately I still kept trying to use it, after about a week of eating it I trained myself to keep my mouth shut, even though the chin strap was no longer tight. It was enough of a suggestion that my body now just keeps my mouth shut during my sleep (while wearing it). Now I keep it at its loosest setting and get near perfect scores on my ResMed C-Pap machine each night. So I increased my rating from 2 stars to 5 stars. At first I thought this chin strap was going to work to keep me from opening my mouth while I slept. The first night it worked well enough. But by night two it was already stretched out to the point I could easily (and did) open my mouth at night. So this strap is kinda pointless and not worth the discomfort of wearing it all night. I tried to make the strap tighter, but there’s only so far you can go since the Velcro strips are in one position. And o have a big head, so making it tighter should’ve been easy.

I kept this and wanted to use it to keep my jaw/mouth shut for sleep to see if it helped with my apnea and maybe. Was better to breathe through nose since I'm unfortunately a mouth breather but it is too stretchy & doesn't keep my mouth shut no matter hoe tight I put it and it doesn't let me put it that tight. More velcro would have helped for one size fits all or should make different sizes. The chin piece was so wide that it choked part of my neck or would try to cover my mouth. So uncomfortable on the bottom area that I couldn't even try to fall asleep with my uncomfortable over the counter mouthguard that is supposed to hold my lower jaw forward so I could breathe with my apnea at night but it falls out of place due to my jaw falling open even with the chinstrapn on. Can't get no relief. Need smaller stiffer strap with more longer stripsmof velcro.

I love this thing! I was looking for a replacement of the chin strap I was using that was discontinued. This is the one! It fits well. It has an extra Velcro piece to the size. It sticks well together but doesn't get your hair caught in it. So far it is still holding up well. I have washed it once (air dried). Hopefully they don't discontinue this one anytime soon!

El material super delgado, no lo siento nada útil ya que no presiona, literal es como si no te pusieras nada en la cara. No lo recomiendo.

Soft material, comfortable fit. Over the years I have tried several, this one is very light and secure.

No me gustó que es unitalla y queda algo ajustada a una persona promedio. Pero no es tan incómoda.

Works with cpap nasal mask. Have just ordered another one.

Ni lo compren. Es una pérdida de dinero. No funciona.
