Just installed the new intake to my 2012 V6 Mustang this evening. The Rota-molded parts are superb quality and fit literally like a custom-made glove. In fact, all the parts are quality parts, including the screws and worm drive clips. The installation took no more than 45 minutes to an hour and is just plain SIMPLE.As others have noted, the silicone hump hose coupling and intake pipe fit-up is tricky, but I found the easiest approach is to fit the coupling to the throttle body without the worm drive clip, then install the intake pipe in the cold air box and maneuver the pipe into the larger end of the coupling, Then unscrew the worm drive clips fully to disconnect the plain end, open them up to form a U, position over the coupling, push the plain end back to engage with the screw and tighten. Another precaution is to lay a cloth over the fresh air intake in the bottom of the box, in case you drop the screws when attaching the intake pipe to the cold air box from the inside.This is one of the best aftermarket designs I've fitted - truly factory option quality. Once installed and after the ECU has adjusted to the new airflow after a short drive, the open throttle sound is awesome. Highway cruising for 20 miles or so at 78 mph (God Bless Texas!), the average mpg was the same as before the new intake. The noise level is the same as before for cruising, though when the accelerator kicks in on a hill to maintain speed, the intake will growl. :-)I'll be looking out for the performance gains later, but for now, the sound alone is reason enough to turn off the sound system and just ENJOY!UPDATE:I noticed that the silicone hump hose coupling had a defect on its surface when I was installing it - it looked like a small piece had been cut out, but was a molding defect and would be unlikely to affect overall life of the part. However, I emailed a photo to Airaid for their information. Daniel replied quickly and sent a replacement which I received within a couple days - Great Service!

Finally bought this for my 2014 Mustang V-6. Only have 1100 miles on it as of right now. Instructions are pretty clear, taking out the old air box is really simple. Putting in the new one had a few tricks. its nice you re-use the old rubber grommets on the air box. if you cant get the one with the screw on it to mount in the box, do it from the opposite way, cant remember if top or bottom to put in new box, it will squeeze into the hole. i have read some cut out the box to make it fit, but its not needed. The kit did not come with allen keys needed to put the TPS onto the new tube, just the torx to remove it. I already had this so it was fine. It was a little difficult to put the tube and box all in and have it fit. its really tight fitting! I put on the rubber on the intake, used a little motor oil on it to slide on easier, then i had to unbolt the box and slide the tube in the box, once in, then put tube onto rubber at intake, then bolt box back down, finally then bolting the tube to the box. was a little difficult but not impossible, just tight fitting. once all on, it is nice.went for a drive, instant throttle response picked up. when you give it a lot of gas, around 2000-2500 rpm, you hear it growl like it should. when driving normal, its nice and quiet like it was before. Claims 13 HP increase, could be, but i dont have a dyno. if so, that puts the 2014 at 318 HP for the V-6, only 2 short of my 99 cobra i just traded in on it with 320 HP, so im right back where i was! All and all, very nice, look good under the hood and seems to be really nice. Ill know more for sure after driving it more and getting some miles on it. Also wanted to add I have the 6 speed automatic in it as well.

I bought a Volant CAI for my previous vehicle and was pleased with it, though I had to make some personal mods to get the tone and performance I wanted while eliminating the very annoying drone around 2,800 RPM. Then I bought a 2014 Mustang V6 and decided to go with another CAI and after some research I decided to give this Airaid a shot.Even though from past experience I realized the install is pretty straight forward, I was careful to follow the step-by-step instructions. This box went in MUCH easier than y old Volant and fit perfectly. The only tough part was the very tight fit of the rubber tube onto the throttle body, but you want that to be tight so it was worth it. Like another person said, just rub a fingertip of oil around the lip and it will slide right on.Total time for install was roughly 40 mins, but a good portion of that was me trying to find some lost bits. In the end the fit is excellent and the look is very professional and high grade. So after I got it installed and double checked all connections and fired her up. At idle there is literally no difference, which is good IMO. But once I fed her air... WHOAAAAAA!!! The sound difference is night and day. So I took her out for a test run and normal driving, no noticeable difference. But once I gunned it, it sounded like a sports car SHOULD sound. The engine tone alone was worth the money.As far as performance I would say I felt a slight gain but I'm realistic enough to know it's not going to be anything you can really notice. I will track my fuel EPA and report back later, but I expect a 1 MPG gain which doesn't sound like much but when you do the math on what that saves you over a year, this baby will pay for itself.I could not be happier with this product.

IF YOU HAVE A V6 MUSTANG YOU NEED THIS INTAKE! DRY FILTER IS A PLUS AS WELL! BUT IF YOU LIVE IN A REALLY DUSTY ENVIRONMENT YOU NEED THE OILED ONE. MAKES A GREAT GROWLING NOISE SHIFTING THROUGH THE GEARS SO YOU CAN TELL IT IS GETTING MORE AIR AND SEEMS TO BE A LITTLE QUICKER AS WELL. EASY INSTALL JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUSTIONS AND YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF. MY ADVICE IS TO BUY A NAME BRAND INTAKE FOR THE LITTLE EXTRA MONEY YOU GET A NICE WELL MADE SYSTEM PLUS THIS ONE IS MADE IN THE U.S.A. NOW IF I CAN INSTALL A NEW FLOWMASTER EXHAUST I WILL BE SET!

Excellent product.

The biggest difference is the extra purr the engine make. I did notice a bit of throttle response which is always good.
