Lasko STANLEY 655704 High Velocity Blower Fan - Features Pivoting Blower and Built-in Outlets

This is probably intended more for shop environments to circulate fresh air when cutting wood, or to dry out rugs and the like, but I bought this simply to use as your typical fan for home use and it's great. It pushes an impressive volume of air and has outlets on the side to work as an extension cord as well, has 3 speeds, is fairly quiet (the sound it makes is comparable to soft breath as opposed to a propeller sound), and can be pivoted in any practical position you can think of, including almost straight downward. It can't blow air under itself, which would be pretty pointless anyways, but instead can blow air downward or parallel with the floor and anywhere in between. It doesn't fit well in a window, but I've placed it on the floor or on a table before and simply aimed the air toward the window for practically the same effect. I can't say whether it works better than a box-fan or not but if you position it right, you probably couldn't tell the difference. Unlike a box fan, however, the air can be easily aimed upwards to circulate air between the floor and ceiling, or concentrated onto the floor to dry out rugs and tile after mopping.I bought some cheap reusable air filters and stuck them on the sides to filter out pet dander and hair to keep them from clogging the inner mechanisms, and also to remove it from the air in the first place, so it now also partially filters the air in my room.Overall it's a great multi-use fan that moves an impressive amount of air despite being a little bulky, but great if you're looking for something that simply performs well.

I bought this to circulate air in my rv over the summer. It ran 24/7 in mostly 120 degree temps and held up great. The fan moves a high volume of air and the noise level is proportional. This fan can be used in a multitude of applications from drying carpet after steam cleaning or water leaks, to having more flexibility when directing air flow during workouts (Ie: bike trainer, treadmill). As far as noise is concerned, it might be a bit loud if you were trying to sleep with it running, unless you are looking for some white noise. It is not necessarily noisy because of quality but more because of the speed the fan is running.Overall this is a great quality fan that has a multitude of uses!As far as using it in my rv for air circulation it didn't really work as I intended. It did move a large volume of air and I was hoping to pull air from a forward vent and exhaust through a rear vent cooling the rv down through the summer months. It ended up just blowing hot air all around the rv. Honestly I think I had better luck placing a couple buckets of water inside for humidity (Arizona summers) and adding some vent covers so I could keep the vents open a bit more and not have to worry about rain storms.I am still happy to have the Stanley fan in my home and expect to get good use out of it for other projects/uses.

Appears to be taking advantage of previous reviews and star ratings on a new listing.******Took over a week to receive this item, and it came broken. Not impressed with the quality control. I will update my review once I receive a new fan that works. It will probably come once the hottest part of the summer is over - very disappointed in this product.****Update****The seller was quick to replace my fan with a working one, and was impressed with the speed in which they shipped out a new fan. It has a lot of power, with a large side intake, and a smaller side intake where the two outlets are located. It's nice to have the long power cord so you can easily move it around the room. This fan moves a whole lot in a very directional manner, and is rather quiet - it is sort of a white noise and just the sound of air. I'm not sure if I'd want to sleep with this fan on. I use it in my room where I have a gaming PC, and needed better air circulation as my room only has one AC vent. It is able to easily redistribute the cool air, and helps my room stay a few degrees cooler. I have also been able to blow warm air out the window, or at least out of the room very quickly.Seems like a good quality fan if you buy it on sale, and works quite well. The plastic seems kind of cheap, but as long as you don't drop it - I'm sure it'll be fine. The pivoting head works very well, and can be used for many applications. I'd recommend this fan over many other room fans considering the amount of air it actually moves...

I wanted a fan, but not just any old box fan. I wanted a fan that will blow hard and keep me cool through the blazing hot summer, and this fan did the job. Sure its a little loud but its not so loud that its bothersome. It was amazing at cooling my room down when used in tandem with the AC. With this fan circulating the air, the AC was actually able to drop my room's temperature by 9 degrees after 10 minutes. It was great, it consumed less energy than the AC and when pointed at myself gave me a wonderful breeze.Also great for your floors, mop the floor tilt that fan down and wow, the floor dries so fast. Works great as a body dryer too, sometimes when I am in a rush, after I dry myself off after showering I use the fan to finish up the drying process where the towel could not fully dry. Works great for your hair too, its like a con air commercial with that breeze. I have long hair and turn that fan on and brush my hair as the fan blows, dries it pretty fast. The volume of air it gives off works wonders, also it doesn't blow hot air so you don't need to heat treat your hair before drying. A blow dryer can damage your hair when you blow dry it, but the cool air function isn't fast enough, but using this fan, oh man the air volume it gives out works wonders at drying my hair.

I have owned this fan for 4 years now and it’s on 98% of the time in our room. It’s powerful and hasn’t lost any power. I have never cleaned it either. Great fan.
