200balls will do for both ends.. if u use more they will just over flow on the floor ... 100 balls looks like 50balls

How large (diameter) are the holes for the tunnel attachments?

I don't have the measurement, but I can tell you that the hole for the attachments is probably an inch larger than the tunnel. It is not flush. There are little ties (3 or 4 around the entrance) that you tie to the mouth of the tunnel.

How does the tunnel connect to the tent .... Velcro ??

No it ties. It's ok but wish I had looked more.
