Mann Filter CUK 22 008-4 Cabin Air Filter

So like who knew replacing really old filters in a car I bought used would get rid of that horrid musty smell every time the AC would turn on after the car sat in the hot sun?So like the moral of the story kids is, replace your filters! Too bad for this car it's a little expensive.They are charcoal activated which might improve their ability to filter out unpleasant smells (dunno about that yet) but they also seemed to not fit perfectly compared to the originals that were in the car. But whatever, it was good enough and the bad smell is gone, so woohoo!

Just as I had read about these filters, they are not an OEM fit on either of the ends, but, they appear as if they will do the job well for 50% of the cost of OEM. I tens to change filters two or three times a year regardless of manufacturer so at this price point, they are fantastic.

Fit is OK. Compared to OEM you can tell the fitting difference. The frame is paper compared to rubber of the OEM. OEM just looks like it fits better. I have changed these once on my M3 and they seam to work.

Fits perfectly, works perfectly, it took me literally 10 minutes to install, I removed 3 screws from each housing on each side with a socket wrench. my local BMW dealer wanted $379.00 to do what cost me 44 dollars and ten minutes of my time, it was the biggest no brainer in the history of mankind.

Fits perfectly into the air box. Don't believe the guys telling you the OEM filters with the plastic are the only ones that fit perfectly. Also the OEM filters are made by Mann as well so the quality of the filter itself is the same.

Absolute perfect, perfect fit. NO gaps, again fits absolutely perfect!!!!! I can't say enough how perfect they fit. One more time in case anybody reads this review they fit perfect solid tight perfect.

Quality is ok, but the BMW ones has nice plastic frames that help keep the seal around the edge. These do not. I think next time I will spend more money and get the ones with the frame. Seems like a necessary piece to function properly.

Just be aware that these don't have the same plastic frame around the air filter like the OEM for your E90, E92, E93 - M3, but the Mann Filter gets the job done at a 1/3 of the cost compared to an OEM Filter.

I bought these for an E92 M3 and the fit is far from perfect. I had to trim off a few millimeters from the sides as they are too long, which compresses the fins when trying to squeeze them in.Even trimmed, the shorts ends are loose against the housing, and I'm worried air will flow through there instead of the filters. The OEM filters have a plastic trim all around to prevent that (see picture of the old filters, I know, digusting).Otherwise they seem to be of good quality, but I will look for OEM filters next time.
