Wilson Pro Stock Shock FX 2.0 Fastpitch Catcher's Helmet

Second of the Pro Shock helmets I purchased for my kid. Excellent vision and protection. Also it doesn't weigh to much, which was a concern for us when she started 12U.

It's a great helmet. The sizing instructions available on the internet were very helpful. The helmet looks beautiful and fits perfectly. I do have one small complaint. The helmet also includes stickers to add the player's numbers to the back of the helmet. Our daughter was very excited for this feature. There was a sheet of stickers included in the packaging, however, the sheet had only one #0. Our daughter's uniform is #00. The stickers only included one #0, 6, 7, 8, & 9 and included two #1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I called Wilson and they could not obtain another sticker sheet as the unit was made and packaged overseas.Yes, a very small complaint, but it was disappointing none the less. The limited quantity of stickers probably saved Wilson about a nickel on an item > $100. I'm sure we'll get over this in no time, but this is a short sited decision by Wilson.

My niece plays 14U and 16u fastpitch travel ball and a foul ball broke the weld on the facemask after a few games of use. Wilson replaced the helmet with a new one but the very next game a foul ball broke the same weld in the same place. We contacted Wilson again and they said that their 1 year warranty only covers a one time replacement. We will not be buying Wilson catcher's equipment again given this experience. If this is what happens with a 45 MPH softball then I wouldn't want to trust this helmet with HS or college play. Furthermore, Wilson clearly doesn't truly stand behind their equipment if they limit it to a one time replacement and this is unacceptable for a $130 helmet! My daughter suffered a bad concussion when she took several foul balls into the face mask with her old catchers mask. The new Wilson mask has worked great. She has been recently hit in the mask by foul tips and she didn't even feel the impact. A must purchase for any catcher. All masks should be made like this to prevent concussions. Well worth the money, I would have paid 10 times a much to protect my daughter from another concussion. We were ready to pull her from catching until we discovered this mask.

Light weight, provides great line of sight.

Not the best vision and fix tight on sides kind of odd. Direct shot to mask is well handled by absorption of mask. Would like better vision from this one

Daughter loves this helmet. Very comfortable and good vision. Has taken a beating in the first few weeks and still looks new. Worht the cost!

If if holds up as long as her last Wilson Helmet I will love it even more:) My daughter's helmets take a beating and I love the shock absorbancy. When the balls come off the bat and hit her mask it scares me so this will give me some comfort I guess.
