Butterfly Ube Flavoring Extract 2 oz, Purple Yam Essence For Baking

Okay I will start this off by saying that I'd previously ordered an ube powder that I wanted to use to make some brownies and what I learned is that the powder is just not rich enough in flavor to really make truly good brownies. So then I found this actual extract and WOW! A totally different story of flavor. I first used this to make an iced ube latte and it came out incredibly good. I all of a sudden had a $10 cafe drink right at home! This extract is highly concentrated and has a beautiful purple hue. The value for the bottle is very reasonable based on the fact that you only have to use a small amount to get a lot of flavor. The taste and texture were phenomenal in the cold drink I made. I will definitely have this as a staple in my home coffee setup and next I'm excited to try it in some baking recipes next! I have a ninja espresso/. Coffee machine and used maybe 1/4 teaspoon in the cold milk frother and it came out delicious. The price is very fair on this item. And overall I will definitely be purchasing this again. My only one callout is that the lid was super difficult for me to open at first but I figured it out.

This is a fun little bottle to keep with baking supplies. The concentrated ube flavor and purple color make it useful for cakes, cookies, drinks, and ice cream without needing a bulky ingredient. Two ounces is plenty for experimenting with different recipes.

This ube flavoring adds a nice sweet purple yam flavor to drinks and desserts and works well in recipes like lattes, baked goods, and homemade treats. Still, it’s easy to use, mixes well, and is a convenient option for adding ube flavor at home.

Good flavor.The top securely snaps over the closure, but I will keep it in a snack sized ziplock storage bag just for safety.Use this sparingly in conjunction with Ube paste/Ube Spread for baking.Creates a lovely pale lavender color. I would not increase the amount used attempting to enrich the purple hue. Instead, I would add purple food coloring.Nice aroma/flavor of vanilla and pistachio. Pairs nicely with peanut butter in mixes and batters.Again, it's highly concentrated so the color will stain things with which it comes into contact. It seems to be water based so on dishes and mixing spoons it washes away pretty easily. If you get it on clothes, you want to address the stain quickly and not let it dry.This size bottle will last me through several cheesecakes.

My son loves Ube flavored stuff and this was perfect for our Ube bread and ice cream. It’s a thicker consistency so a little goes a LONG way. The lid doesn’t click fantastically so be careful if this tips over because this is a VERY dark purple color and will absolutely stain clothing. I’d also get a little string dropper to use this because it’s just a bottle with a dime size hole on top so it’s not easy to add a few drops.

This shouldn’t be labeled as ube flavoring. I tried it in my homemade ube halaya, and it completely changed the flavor. Instead of enhancing the natural ube taste, it tasted sweet potato.I honestly thought it was just me until I finally checked the ingredients and saw that it lists artificial sweet potato flavoring. That explained everything.I grew up with ube literally growing in our backyard, so I can definitely tell the difference between real ube and sweet potato, even before it’s mixed into desserts or baked goods. That’s why I went back to McCormick, which in my experience is much closer to the taste and aroma of real ube.

No questions asked, purchase it! I was looking for Ube flavoring since it’s my favorite in any dessert or latte. I purchase these lattes for about the same price as the flavoring. This little bottle willlast forever. I used about 10 drops for my latte and it’s exactly like the cafe I frequently visit. It is very concentrated and even the purple color showed up in my drink after adding my black coffee. I’m excited to try it in my ube brownies and any other recipes. It does stain and the bottle is very difficult to open. It spilled on my floor and almost took 30 mins of scrubbing to get out. Other than that, I love it

Sooo tasty. We use this extract in the big size to make our ube latte base at the cafe I work at.. had to snag a little bottle for myself at home ;) I’ve used to make drinks only, but I bet it would work beautifully in any baking recipe. It’s super potent and you get a lot out of it, especially if it’s just for personal use. It comes pretty unsweetened, so what I do is get some hot water and sugar to make a more watered down syrup.

Realmente sabe a ube, me e sorprendido ideal para hacer recetas como tartas, galletas bubbletea etc....tiene un sabor dulce avainillado si te gusta tarro es similar

Es ist sehr ergiebig und lecker, schmeckt wie eigentlich schmecken soll. Ich habe aber trotzdem Ube rein Pulver auch gekauft um zu wissen was für einen Geschmack unterschied gibt.

Incredibly strong food COLOURING but with very little flavour. In order to actually get an ube taste you have to add so much that the food almost turns black. Do not recommend.
