Lion Brand Yarn Cupcake Yarn, Jelly Bean

This company really combines beautiful colors in ways I would not have thought of. I bought several different color combinations from this company at the same time (and will be leaving this review on each of them) in order to make yarn rainbows. It works wonderfully well for this application! WIll buy again.

The yarn is a good deal, soft and springy and pleasant to work with for baby caps for a local hospital. The colors probably would look good on a blanket or shawl, but I thought they were a bit "washed out".

Love this yarn. It is especially nice, I think, for crochet because of (this is hard to explain) the twists. I've used it for shawls and for baby blankets. It washes nicely- and once washed, the finished product is really soft.

I liked everything about this yarn for my project which was an afghan. The color changes were great and not having to work and switch between 6 balls of yarn to get different colors was a delight. I wish this yarn wasn’t discontinued as I would buy more without hesitation. Lion brand alternates between great yarns and awful ones. This one was great. With any yarn, always buy I more ball than you think you need since the yarn is liable at any time to be discontinued.

I was looking for a decent enough yarn for not too much money that would offer stripes for a baby blanket that wasn't gender specific. Ordered 4 skeins, 3 of which matched (same dye lot), and only ended up needing two (just shy of 2, as I didn't want to end on the khaki/tan color). I'm pleased with the finished product.

Very nice yarn, but I thought the colors would change quicker. The sections of colors are longer than I like.

I adore the Cupcake Yarn colors and the feel. I made the afghan pictured using Moody Blue with a skein or two of Forest Path thrown in. I love to mix these striped yarns to get a unique product.This yarn is more of a light fairly smooth worsted weight than a baby weight. Still, much lighter than the Super Saver Ombre that I also like and the Ombre is generally coarser depending on color.

This 3 weight yarn worked up beautifully into a scarf and the colors are exquisite!!!

Like all lion brand yarn it's true to colour from the picture, it's beautifully soft and great to crochet with, I made a shawl with this one and it looks lovely, feels great and everyone loves it, highly recommend.

I have worked through the first of 4 balls and so far so good!

Great dk wool, I used it to make a lava scarf for playing with (ask my 4year old) I added a picture of the ball band with the colours in this cake. I did add red to the mix from my own stash but I love this wool, great for clothes and toys etc.

Was expecting this Aug 9th, but came a lot earlier than that! really soft wool & love the colours in this cake. So nice worked up, will buy many more I'm sure!
