I needed to drill a hole through a 6x6 to route an irrigation line and this did the job - almost. I should have bought a 7/8 or 1 inch but that's my mistake. For the money, this was perfect for my need.

Century Drill & Tool 36864 Lazer Spade Bit This spade bit performed well and produced clean, consistent holes in both softwood and standard construction lumber. It cuts efficiently without requiring excessive pressure, and the tip helps keep the bit centered when starting a hole. The bit appears to be well made and has held its edge through multiple projects. My only reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can leave a little tear-out on the exit side of the material if you don’t back the workpiece. Overall, it’s a reliable drill bit that offers excellent value and is a solid addition to any toolbox.

Does everything I needed it to do perfect size

I used this to drill holes in large wooden posts for gate hanging hardware. Excellent boring action.

Works great for the purpose.

Bought this as a shorter version to what came with my drill for tight spaces. This one gets jammed/stops spinning in the wood sometimes. The ones that came with my drill don’t. It kind of did the job, but I found myself going back to my longer ones if I could because they didn’t jam up.
